Maybe 3 1/2 more accurate but I only did take out. It was okay, ordered penne alla vodka w/chicken and the sauce was okay and noodles slightly overcooked with barely any chicken. Portion was smaller than expected but the price reflected the portion do not bad there.Would try again for another dish.
Ordered via DoorDash. Dasher never showed up yet Bocci already prepared it. DoorDash refused to give me a full refund. DD canceled my order. Bocci left me 2 brash voicemails asking me to call them back as the driver hasn’t picked it up. How is this on me? We decided to pick up the order ourselves as they were willing to wait as they are closed now. Yet.. Bocci WOULD NOT let us get our food WITHOUT REPAYING FOR THE FOOD WE ALREADY PAID FOR on the app. We paid twice for the same meal that my boyfriend literally had to go pick up himself. Unbelievable. Look- I get DoorDash is a third party, but making us repay for food we already paid for doesn’t make sense. Hoping your pasta was worth this headache.
This was the most disgusting, watery, and flavorless food we've ever ordered. We ordered almost $100 of pasta tonight and NONE of us ate our food. Gross. Don't order food from here. ?
The plain NY style was great. Dough was soft with nice chew and some crispness. Sauce was flavorful and cheese was good. Overall an unexpectedly quality pizza. Also had calamari which was tasty. Did pickup takeout, food order was ready quickly.
Good little spot. Kids really like the pizza. It's not NJ lozaa, but hey, what is down here.
- great service, our waiter was excellent- nice atmosphere- good meatballs, good red sauce- penne vodka tastes like … plastic somehow. And very flat. Would never order this again. Maybe it was just a bad night for it.- pizza is decent
One star is too high. Ordered 4 takeout orders of my favorite dish, Monte Mare, at the Durham location but it had so much red pepper in it that it ruined the taste. Tried to eat it but lips were burning so much that I had to throw away the food! If they changed the recipe they should have mentioned it. Will not go back.
I’ve driven by this restaurant hundreds of times and did not know it was there. And that makes me sad! The food and service was awesome. I will definitely be coming back.
We ordered calamari it had no flavor. The Marinara sauce tasted like out of a can. The Fettuccine Alfredo and it tasted like the milk/cream was sour, was Bland also without flavor. Additionally, the ranch dressing for 1 of my salads tasted like it was missing the essentials flavors that other "Italian" ranch has. My chicken piccatta lacked salt. It had capers so I expected the saltiness to come from them however it didn't. My last dish seafood fantasia sauce was very Bland although the seafood was cooked properly. In summary, something was lacking in all of our entrees. We expected better!!! We're from Virginia and we wanted a good Authentic Italian meal. ???
Worst rigatoni bolognese I've ever had. Bolognese is supposed to be a light, meaty sauce that is poured over the pasta and then served. This was a thick, highly salted red sauce with maybe 10 very small pieces of meat on the bottom that was then baked, making the sauce even drier and thicker. My friend ordered the bocci balls and those also had this horrible, thick sauce on it. She'd previously had the bocci balls as an appetizer at a retirement party at the restaurant and loved them, but they did not have this horrible sauce on them. Would not go back here again.
