The BBQ here is great, as are the sides. I've found that the food quality can be a bit inconsistent between visits though, but it's always been decent. The staff are all super friendly and seem to know their way around beer pretty well. Their cider collection is decent as well, which is great. Service is decent as well, but it can be a tad slow some days.

Great local spot for authentic BBQ, and the sides are delicious, make sure to get the Sriracha brussel sprouts! They use a dry rub, which is what I prefer to pasty sauces some places use for flavoring. The burnt ends were much better than the ribs, which came out a bit soggy for my liking. Great beer selections as well. All around worth a visit if you're in the area.

First thing first, get the potato salad! It's not like regular potato salad you would find in a store with a Mayo base, this is the BEST potato salad you will ever have. My usual is the smoked chicken salad sandwich which is amazing but recently I tried their honey sirracha Brussels sprouts and they did not disappoint! BBQ is also completely on point! They also have beer on tap as well as a fantastic to go selection with some of my favorites in stock! Finally, the staff are all amazing! If you have a question about their food, the cooks will talk with you and the servers are polite and stay on top of their work. I've never had an empty glass wait to be filled. Every time I go my visit is filled with good food, good company, and so many laughs! Plus they have lots of daily specials throughout the week! Do yourself a favor and go here. :)

First off, the burnt ends were amazing and why they get 3 stars. The Mac & cheese and smoked potato salad were tasty, and the sausage had a nice snappy casing. Unfortunately, the other meat (chopped BBQ, chicken, chicken wings, and slice of brisket) was extremely dry, lacked flavor, and the brisket was tough to cut with a knife. It was not fall apart, fork tender like the burnt ends. The kale slaw left very much to be desired, as it was literally some kale with shredded carrots and a light vinegar coating. The corn bread was a bit dry. The two available barbecue sauces were disappointing at best. Overall, the meal was way too expensive for the quality of the meat preparation.

Nice, little place. The food was good overall but the sausage, smoked potato salad, and bbq egg roll were awesome.

Yummy! Clean, comfortable dining room. Burnt ends were yummy, chicken was dry, but I think that's because it was near closing time. The cucumber salad was a delight. Will return when I'm in the area. **my friend completely cleaned her plate ?

Best BBQ I have EVER had! The smoked potatoes and Mac n cheese are to die for. Brisket was perfectly cooked and went beautifully with the Sweet sauce.Their catering service was easy to work with and accommodating to the wedding.Highly recommend Big Mike's!

First time at Big Mike’s and it did not disappoint! Our server was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We brought family visiting from out of town and they loved it! Large portions and everything was so flavorful. We also tried their potato salad which is unique and delicious. Banana pudding for dessert is a must! There is plenty of outdoor seating and a cozy vibe inside. Definitely the place to go for bbq in Cary!

Great service! Very quick. We tried the brisket, chopped pork and chopped chicken, all delicious! The smoked potato salad -- sooo good!

There weren't many people around, a bunch of empty tables. It still took 15mins to get our order taken and then 40mins more to get food. I ended up asking to get the food to go and paid 30$. See pics of the platter, its for sure not worth 30$. The staff were plenty kind and I'm sure its not their fault. But won't be going back or recommending, compared to other restaurants at a similar price point.
