Had lunch last Saturday and just as good as always. Thanks for keeping it alive!
Real good food and service good prices
As we entered no one greater us. 5 employees stood behind a counter. They didn't Seat us or even acknowledge we were there. After standing there for about 5 minutes I finally asked do we just seat ourselves. One of the cooks replied "yea just find you one" as we looked around all the tables were dirty from previous customers. Not one of the employees attempted to clear a table for us. As we sat I proceeded to retrieve a napkin and clean our table, I also removed old used cups and napkins from previous customers from pur table and took them to the trash. An employee came over and asked had we been helped we told him no and he asked for another menu he replied " we don't have anymore" so we shared the menu between the four of us. He left the table and didn't take our order. Finally a young boy with blue hair came over and asked what we wanted to drink. We gave him our drink order. He came back took our food order came back with the fries and 10 minutes later he came back with food. We never saw him again until he left the check at the end of the table didn't ask if we were okay or needed anything else. He didn't tell us how to pay. He didnt say ANYTHING. The food was awful. Fries with no taste, hot dogs soft and mushy, hamburgers small and dry. Food was tasteless and overpriced. The worst part about this awful experience was seeing a customer come into this establishment with a different color skin than mine and being treated TOTALLY different. She was seated, got clean tables and the employee continued conversation throughout her entire time there. So to sum it don't go here if your skin is brown! And honestly I don't think they give a damn!

I called and placed a to go order this evening, 05/14/22 at 846. They took my order. I went to pick up, the doors were locked. I saw my order sitting beside the register and when I called, they claimed no one took the order. I told them the website says they close at 10 and that someone could've told me they close at 9. But instead they lied twice. Once about not taking my order and 2nd about the order I saw it at the register. I watched them take the bag off the counter while I was on the phone with them! I have always supported them because I am friends with Jackie Harrell and have worked with her in the past and I know she is their family. I am highly upset over the whole situation and how they lied and treated me!!!
This is the best hot dog place in north carolina. very good hot dogs and a great place to go for old times. i loved this and i will forever start going here a lot more. we ordered a lot of amazing hot dogs for under 30 dollars. i got a block dog combo and it was amazing. the cheese was perfect and the hot dog was perfect as well. there fries are awesome as well. 5 start
Came in from Atlanta. Great dogs, took home quart of chili and 4 Zack’s sauce
My mom ordered a cheese dog and this is what she received. She also ordered a water and was charged $0.30 for it but never received it. My daughter had a regular hot dog that had zero flavor. I had a BLT and it was decent which is why they deserve at least a star.
Best hotdogs around! They was slam packed but took my order right away and I had my food in under 2 or 3 minutes. Very nice people. Definitely would recommen to eat here!
I give two stars because the ambiance and they have cheerwine in a glass bottle. Let me be clear, this chili is an acquired taste that can only be fondly cherished if you’ve been eating it since you were a child. All the Alamance county natives just love it because it’s been around so long. I have been in central NC nearly my entire life, eaten concession stand hot dogs, eaten dogs at diners, cook outs, football games, peoples houses and made them. All respecting the tradition of the southern “mustard, chili, slaw and onion”. Zack’s chili is like eating soupy chalk. First time I tried it was 10 years ago and couldn’t believe how much some people talked about this place as having the best hotdogs around. I was in shock. I have since tried it 2 more times, spaced out by several years, each time thinking it was a bad day, maybe I wasn’t remembering it correctly, etc…But nope, every time I’ve eaten there, it’s horrible. I’d rather eat a gwaltery hot dog, boiled and on a piece on bread, than have their chili. Now, the atmosphere is worth a trip in. The service is fast. Whatever you do, don’t get chili on your dog or burger.
