The Best Margaritas …. It’s been a few years since I’ve been in NC … looked forward to dinner at San Marcos and they didn’t disappoint.
Let me start by saying that I never complain about my restaurant experiences . I have had several good meals and service's there , but today was by far the worst service and food that I have ever experienced in San Marcos Restaurant. My plate was 25 minutes behind my other 2 guest . My chicken was over cooked because of the time . My one guest ordered 3 tacos, and they had no lettuce or tomatoes. They charged .75 for the extras. They did take the tacos off the bill , but I was very disappointed with the meal. I will never return to this restaurant.GM.
With family, daughter lives in Burlington now & we visit often & our food & service was awesome today ???
Good Mexican restaurant in Burlington area.Service was on point, staff here was quick with any requests and stayed ahead on keeping chips and drinks refilled. Restaurant was kept super clean as well.Food was pretty good, it wasn't the best I'd had but was still good and worth the visit. Portion sizes were a good size and came out fast.Pricing was high and really this was the only down side, plates on average were all over $15 a head...about $4 more than it should have been so it adds up if you're taking a family of 4 or more. For my family of 3 we were at $70 for nachos, fajitas, and an ACP with 2 waters and a beer.
The service was fine and the restaurant was clean. The problem is that the food was incredibly bland and obviously under-seasoned. The salsa served with the chips lacked any spice and the taste almost resembled that of marinara. The chicken in my enchilada was visibly unseasoned and had no taste. The enchilada and sauce also carried no distinguishable flavor. For the price I would expect the food to taste like something more than a cohesive nothingness.
This is some of the best street corn I’ve ever had! All the food has been good so far!
Delicious food and great service! They have an appetizer that let's you pick 3 kinds of dip so you don't have to choose between queso or guacamole, etc. You get to pick 3 for $9.99. Drinks are also amazing!
Ordered a margarita for the wife, and 2 dinner plates. The margarita was pretty watered down, and we waited almost 40 minutes for the food that never showed up. We decided to leave and told the employee at the front we would pay for the drink, he informed us that the food was just now ready. I paid for the drink and left, insulted that my time was wasted. There were patrons that came after us and got their food before us, all this on a busy Thursday night, about 7pm. That is no excuse for poor service.
My husband and I went here for lunch on a busy Sunday, the service was good, and the tacos my husband order were ok but no sauce was serve with it. I ordered fajitas and they were horrible, bland and overpriced. Probably it’ll be our last visit.
Stopped in and was quite pleased. The atmosphere was spacious but cozy and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.
