Visited this place with my sisters for the 1st time recently & we were pleased with our server who was nice & attentive. I wasn’t a fan of the chicken sandwich I ordered but my sisters enjoyed their food. The breadsticks were decent but the marinara sauce was literally the best I’ve ever had anywhere! I’d love to come back & try their pizza.

I called at 4 p.m. on a Friday to place an order for a pizza to go. I was told it would be 20 minutes. I got there at 4:30 p.m. It wasn't ready but I was told it would be ready soon. After a few minutes of standing, I sat down next to another waiting customer. We watched the to go orders being placed on the shelf. We watched the staff members occasionally look at the tickets and look inside the orders. The person next to me was getting upset because of the time it was taking for a 1 topping pizza. Finally a staff member brought her the pizza which had been sitting on the shelf for around 10 minutes. She was ready to refuse it because it was cold. I would have refused it simply because they repeatedly opened the box with unwashed hands. It became obvious that the staff had no ability to fill orders and give them to waiting to go customers. Meanwhile I waited for my pizza. I asked another staff member for the status of my pizza. She said it was in the oven. I waited some more. There was no shortage of staff. I watched them roam about. I saw one man look at the order tickets. He took one and went around back and returned with another member. I could tell he was fussing at him about the ticket. I had a sinking feeling that was my order. Finally after another 30 minutes I had enough. I found the man that took my order. All he could say is that the order was in the oven. I wanted to know precisely how long it would be. I had been waiting an hour! He suddenly developed mushy mouth syndrome and he got a manager. With little interest or sincerity she apologized and gave me a refund. She said the printer was down. The tickets are all handwritten! What is to print? It is obvious this place cannot fill orders either by walk in, phone, or via modern technology. When I tried to view their website it was directed to a malicious site which attacked my phone. So avoid it. In fact just avoid Sal's. I certainly won't be returning.

We waited for over 40 minutes to get our food. It's expensive and the service was bad. Food was just okay, I don't recommend it.

We ordered seafood linguini. The scallops were the size of my pinkie nail and I'm a woman. Plus they had gone up $6 and forgot our salad.

We went after the reopening for dinner a couple weeks ago. The new inside dining area is nice. The food was good, the service was great. We decided today to get lunch to go. It was a mess, (Italian Subs) yellow and brown lettuce scraps, soggy, and huge raw onion chunks. French fries were mush. Completely opposite from dinner. 3 subs 3 fries $38.

This was the absolute worst place I’ve ever been to. The service was horrible we were seated in the back away from the rest of the people, completely separate from them. I will not make comments as to why I think we were seated in the back. Employees had children running around. It took about 30 minutes to take our order and about 45 minutes to get our food as other employees were socializing with one family they got special treatment. The pizza was soggy burnt and seem to be microwaved. The chicken tenders were soggy and tasted like freezer burn. Each table had its own server but our server refilled drinks on another table and ignored ours. I do not normally write bad reviews for restaurants if things are OK, there was nothing OK at this restaurant. you have been warned.

After moving to No Carolina from Massachusetts a year and a half ago, we ate at Sal’s. We really liked the Italian food and ordered frequently. We know good Italian good as we ate at many great Italian restaurants back at Federal Hill in Providence. RI, the number 1 place for Italian food. We went yesterday to the newly remodeled Sal’s. Very nice! Our food was delicious as before. I enjoyed the chicken parmigiana and my husband enjoyed chicken sorrentino. So delicious and we will go back often.

To sum it up I spent close to $70 on take out for my family and when I asked for a side of ranch the hostess told me that it is an extra charge of 75 cents. I didn’t have the change and was told that there was a minimum charge for card purchases so I didn’t get my ranch. I just thought it would have been nice to throw that in since I spent so much on the meals. Food was ok though but the service is bad.

This was my first time trying all in the food was really great me and the wife will be back very soon

When the pizza dough isn’t overworked it’s fantastic pizza. Competes with really well done NYC Pre covid.
