I’ve been here twice. Both times the girl who checked me out was extremely rude. I told her I was paying with two separate cards as I was trying to finish off the money on a gift card. I told her the exact enough that was on there and twice she types in $4 instead of $6.37 like I told her. So I ended up paying for half of it on my card which I was trying not to do. After I finally made my purchase she said nothing to me and looked straight passed me to the people behind me. I witnessed her not only be rude to me, but to her co workers as well the first time I was here. I do not plan on coming back to this location as both of my experiences have been horrible. I wish the owner was the two times I’ve done because I’ve heard he’s really nice
Used to love coming here, but the kids working here aren't very friendly or personable. One girl that worked there stood there talking to friends or family while she worked and acted like customers were bothering her.The tables, chairs, and floor were super sticky. I get that the name of the game is syrup, but the need to make sure there are places for customers to sit.
My family loves snowball. Prices a reasonable and tons of favors. No complaints. Wish there were more locations!!
Usually I love this place… but the 2 young ladies working yesterday were not friendly at all. So I will try not to go back at the same to time to avoid the unpleasantness of those 2
I have not visited since they opened in this new building. I loved it when they were across the street and I still love it now!
Love the sugar free options
I love this place! I come here almost every week. Kind employees and great service. My only two complaints is that they sometimes "over-drench" the snocones with syrup and it spills all over me. Occasionally the shaved ice will be overflowing with the syrup and come out of the top. Also, I only eat sugar free so I wish there were more sugar-free flavors! I went to a Pelican's snoballs at NC beach and they had lots of sugar-free flavors such as cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake, and more. I would probably get snocones even more often if they had those flavors.
Went here hoping for nostalgia, wound up with cupfuls of overly expensive syrupy sludge.First thing we noticed was the overpowering chemical cleaner smell (at least I hope it was cleaner and not the flavor syrup!). Then we saw the menu. This was fun! A hundred flavors - sour pickle, tiger blood, unicorn, etc. Neat options to combine ice cream and snow cones. Placed our order. Staff seemed ill equipped to handle more than two cones at a time, they had a hard time keeping the sizes and flavors straight, they had to check in with us multiple times.Took our first bites - VERY underwhelming. I had hoped for a sweet blast from the past, but received a big letdown. OK, let me try those other flavors, yep, too syrupy, even the more standard flavors weren't right. This will do if you absolutely need a snow cone, but if you have fond memories of concession stands and carnivals, hold on to those fond moments a safe distance away from Pelicans.
Love love pelicans. Also clean and friendly staff. Best snowballs in town with a large variety of flavors.
Love them!!! My favorite flavors so far are Passionfruit, Tiger's Blood, and Bahama Mama.I will say that how good your snowball will taste depends on which team member is there when you go. Some of them add enough Syrup and some don't. I've had that happen to me a couple of times.
