My entire family LOVES this place! The food is INCREDIBLE and the staff is kind and courteous. The focaccia is spectacular and is a regular craving at our house...so good I have requested it instead of cake for my birthday! The Prosciutto Puffs have never made it all the way home before being completely devoured. Their desserts are sumptuous and the pasta and sauces are simply *chef's kiss*! Hopefully they can find a larger location soon so they can expand and find more happy customers!
What A surprise! we were in the area and were looking for a place to eat. We read a review which gave it a 4.9. The Food was deliciously authentic... The verdure panini (which was large enough to split) and a slice of Margarita Pizza. I have never tasted bread like that outside of NY. Try the dessert . It was a pleasure to visit with Chef Darren and Jordan. My new go Italian restaurant!!
Greatest panini of my life - and great customer service! Cutest little setup to eat outside too. Run, don’t walk to enjoy this delicious food.
Found this place while we were out shopping with some friends. The great reviews are completely earned. Got the Parmigiana Panini and it was delicious. Jordan, the sous-chef, took care of us and really gave the whole experience a personal touch.
I would give this place 10 stars if I can. This is one hidden little gem out there for all you Italian food aficionados.I found this place on google and decided to give it a try after reading its google reviews. I drove around 50 miles all the way from Cary just to try this place out and boy… it was quite worth it.We ordered a focaccia bread, a margarita pizza , Caco e pepe and a serving of red sauce pasta.Everything in my opinion was simply awesome. Caco a pepe was a bit too salty for my taste but everything else was great. The bread was fluffy and fresh, pizza’s base and sauce were simply too good and the red sauce pasta was very satisfying.Darren (the owner) is an amazing guy. I told him that I drove all the way just to try his place and he was so friendly that he added a brownie to our order - on the house.I just hope this place maintains its quality and standards and I will be visiting here once a month.
This has instantly become one of my favorite restaurants, and I'm not talking just locally. Jordan was extremely helpful and kind as we ordered for the first time, and we couldn't have been happier with what we ordered.The focaccia is fresh, salty, and out of this world amazing. I ordered the affumicato panini and loved every bite. Along with the insalata and an order of cacio e pepe, there was nothing that disappointed. I kid you not, I was ecstatic with every bite.There are so many things on the menu we want to try that it's going to take months for us to get through it. I'm excited to get started.
Everything we ordered for our party was absolutely outstanding! Chef Darren used the freshest and tastiest ingredients for the best paninis we have ever eaten! The salumi &formaggi board was a work of art with an amazing variety of delicious cheeses, meats, sauces, jams and olives! The pizza al taglio margherita had just the right balance of red sauce, yummy cheese and fresh basil on a crunchy crust-so good! And the prosciutto puffs are to die for! You will feel like you have been transported to Italy as you enjoy this amazing food made with the highest quality ingredients!! You can’t go wrong ordering lunch, dinner or food for a gathering of friends from this wonderful establishment!
My family has been secretly visiting Il Centro for years. The food is outstanding. The staff is very cordial. When I am in the area, I like to stop in and pick up food. I can feed some of my elderly family members, who are not always able to go out. These folks are good people.
If you live within an hour of Burlington or drive through Burlington, you must go! il Centro is absolutely, authentically Italian cuisine. We drove from Winston-Salem which was 48 minutes. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and then bought to-go for dinner and quarts of two sauces for our freezer. It's a small market/restaurant with very limited seating. But you feel like you have traveled to Italy. The chef/owner Darren Atkins and his very capable employee Jordan were hospitable. We enjoyed everything about il Centro Alimentari & Salumeria and can't wait to go back!
Il Centro Alimentary offers fantastic, authentic, Italian food. We have had the chicken parm, meatballs, pizza, a focaccia sandwich, and take-home pasta. The flavors are incredibly reminiscent of Italy, especially the Roman style pizza. My only wish is we lived closer so could more often!
