Service was decent. The chicken and dumplings have gone down hill. Sides are now being served in “little” ramkins or whatever, so less portions than when they plate it. Biscuits that use to enjoy so much are nowhere near as good as they use to be….what happened to you Cracker Barrel? Is it because of the Pandemic? I’m not convinced…Food is usually a little warm but not much.Country store is not a country store anymore.Won’t be going back for a long time.
I am a HUGE FAN OF THE BARREL. I HAD ORDER DOOR DASH FOR BKFST AS I AM DISABLED RIGHT NOW.I ORDERED UNCLE HERSHEL, BACON ON SIDE AS IT WASNT OPTION, HASHBROWN CASSEROLE, PEACH COBBLER FOR LATER AT SUPPER AND SOME BEIGNETS, OJ AND 2 COFFEES.OK SO RIGHT AWAY I NOTED PORTIONS HALF WHAT IM USED TO GETTING.MAYBE TBL OF HASHBROWN, GRITS CUP ONLY THIRD FULL, COBBLER SHOWN IN PIC IM USED TO FOR YEARS GETTING THE OVAL BLACK CONTAINER WITH CLEAR COVER AND AT LEAST A GOOD SCOOP OF ICE CREAM.THE PRICES GO UP AND PORTIONS GO DOWN?? NEVER EXPECTED THIS FROM CRACKER BARREL . EVERYTHING WAS STONE COLD YES ICE STONE COLD. I know u say it's door dash but I ordered middle of night. My app said ready 0835 till 0900. The dasher was there at 0835 and got to me at 0845. I think they made way ahead but no one will agree. So so sad the quality has diminished so. Even coffee sealed in insulated cups tasted cold as if brewed day before.
Had the best meal I have had since the pandemic hit in 2020 at this location. Food fresh, hot, and delicious. Our server Kelsey was on top of all our needs. Clayton the hostess was the absolute joy of our visit. 78 years young and and can work circles around anyone there.
First of all I would like to say we are big fans of cracker barrel and have never had a bad experience. That being said, let me tell you my experience at this one. I walked up to the hostess, smiled and said hello. She stared at me and said nothing. I tell her I needed a table for 4 people and she told me my wait time (we were fine waiting 30 minutes as we had time to spare), I told her it was fine, then asked for my phone number and my name. We wait our time and then get a message that our table is ready. We get seated and all the forks napkins and knives are in a basket. (Do they not set the silverware anymore) The waitress takes our drink orders and we also order an appetizer. After a few minutes, she comes back with the drinks and she hands us 3 straws and says she will bring the other straw shortly. Ten minutes later she comes to check on things, sees that I need a refill on my coffee and my son needs refill on sprite. We remind her about the straw and ask about appetizer. She said she would bring straw and the appetizer should be out shortly. A few minutes later, she brings my son a to go cup of sprite, a straw and a coffee refill. I take a few sips of my water and my daughter is pointing that my water has something in it. It was a little sticker identifying the fruit or veggie one buys at the store. Not to cause issues, I put my water to the side and order a sweet tea instead. Few minutes after that, she brings the appetizer, no extra plates, The food arrives a little later and the dumplings tasted old and lukewarm. The biscuits and pancakes were good. The mashed potatoes roast beef and green beans were lukewarm. My daughter had the hamburger sliders and ate half of one (she didn’t like the cheese). When we finally get our ticket (after being in the eating area for over an hour at this point) I download the app to pay online. The code I find on my receipt does not work. I try a few times, no luck. I then ask two waitresses nearby to help me see if I’m putting the code in correctly, they both have no clue about paying on the app. Thé suggest I talk to the cashier about it. The line at register is super long and that’s why I was trying to avoid standing in that line! I will never go back to this Cracker Barrel and now want to avoid them for the next few months. I do not recommend this place.
I'm giving this location 2 stars only because of the service (would have been a 1 otherwise). The Hostess and our server were great, overflowing with Southern hospitality! However, the food was awful! I ordered a hamburger and it came out just about raw (never asked how I want it cooked). I tried a few bites around the edge and it tasted horrible. My wife ordered her favorite, chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and it was awful too. She said the "steak" was dry and tasteless, almost like a frozen dinner. She was able to choke down a few bites of the potatoes but said they were not good either, not creamy but rather lumpy with lots of skins.Fairly disappointing because we have been customers for more than 40 years. I'm hoping this location is the exception. I will have a tough time ever going to Cracker Barrel again!
Dear old Cracker Barrel, what can I say…Cracker Barrel is everywhere. Their menu has a wide variety of “country cookin” options. The service can vary from location to location. This particular day I ordered a special (meatloaf) with green beans and mashed potatoes. I was with a group of six. My food was cold when it was delivered. They were low on staff (due to Covid stuff). The waitress replaced my cold meatloaf. Cracker Barrel is always going to be noisy and crowed. Customer should expect wait time for seating and food delivery. The gift shop is a good distraction while waiting.
Hard Earned Decent American Made Dollars. Spent Over $30 To Enjoy A ? American Meal... This Is What You Pay For!! Wonder If I Was Caucasian Would It Have Been A Better Meal.
I went to Cracker Barrel tonight with 3 family members. We ordered and it took 25-30 minutes to get our food. The waitress brought our food and everything was on different plates. When she brought our food we told her it was mixed up, she was said she just put them on the plates and pretty much told us to figure what goes where. I try not to complain especially when it comes to my food. But we had a horrible experience there. She kept saying the silverware was being washed and she would bring spoons when they are done. When we got our food finally it was cold. Don't think we will be back.
Wife loves this place and wants to stop at different locations every time we are on the road. The 3 stars are for the retail area of this place. We both like to browse and find unique and clearance items at good prices.As far as food I'd give half a star. It's usually bland and cold. Service though is very good and everyone is always courteous and professional. Wife loves the chicken dumpings.
I purchased a Kid's chicken tender meal today, and it was TERRIBLE. The chicken batter was AWFUL, and the french fries tasted like they were placed in a batter not a "salt like seasoning". I called and spoke with Manager, Daniel, and he could CARELESS. He was ALOOF to say the least!!! I should've gone with the Hamburger Steak like always!!!
