Close to Boone’s downtown, is a small bistro-style restaurant serving delightful upscale "creative American cuisine." My avocado toast plate was out of this world! Grilled sourdough bread, toasted chic-peas, avocado spread, pico de gallo, sunny side up egg, micro-greens, home-fries, fresh fruit! A winner!

The atmosphere is beautiful, the service is wonderful, and the food is always delicious. We always enjoy dining there for dinner and brunch as the menu is diverse and changes enough to keep things interesting. But they always have staples you can count on. It’s very popular so making reservations is a great idea. The owners have done a great job hiring and keeping awesome employees; you can tell they work as a team and are happy with their work environment. It’s one of our favorite places to dine in the High Country.

Shout out to Anna(?) for taking good care of me. I came to Boone solo and walked into Vidalia on a whim. She was super attentive and warm. The person who delivered my food was also really nice. If you’re sober, this place offers two NA beers. The stout is bomb. I really appreciate places that have options for non drinkers. Thank you for making me feel welcome!*the host was also very friendly and accommodating. I’m noting the staff because they’re the reason I’ll come back.

We had reservations for 6:30 on a St night and they were busy. Being Vidalia we ordered the appetizer fried onion rings. CAREFULL, there are six of them each the size of a large bagel. We actually brought them home and refried them in a deep fat fryer and they were OK. It did take 45 minutes to get them though as they said later that one of the fryers was broken (did not tell us that when we ordered. I had the Elk and it was very tough and chewy. Wife had the ribeye and it was very good. Overall it was OK.

Wonderful food and atmosphere. The onion rings were the best! Oh and the mimosas too!! Enjoyed ourselves. Four stars only because my daughter and I both ordered the burger. Hers was super salty so she didn’t eat it. I gave her mines which was good.

After years of having a vacation home in Boone, we have recently become permanent residents so decided to try Vidalia on a rainy Tuesday night - quite surprised to see so many people had the same idea. We chose to wait at the bar and order drinks (a wave of people had just been seated) and were immediately shocked at the bartender’s sharp retort when we asked for an appetizer menu, telling us we “should ask the host stand.” She clearly needs training in customer service as she also told another patron that she would take his drink order “when I have a chance. I have three drink orders waiting.” WAY too much info for a customer who has just entered - perhaps try “Please make yourself comfortable. Here is a drink menu and I’ll be with you in just a moment.” Thankfully, we were quickly seated in the adjoining dining area and served by Vidalia’s pleasant and efficient wait staff. We ordered the Chicken & Waffles and the Nashville Chicken & Waffles and argued over whose was better! The Nashville was Absolutely Delicious - perfectly fried, incredibly tender, and seasoned with just the right amount of spice. The heat and flavor of the jalapeño is well balanced with B&B pickles, honey, and sweet, light waffles. The greens were a fantastic compliment to the meal, but the Mac & cheese is also a delicious choice. No way to improve these dishes! Highly recommend if you avoid the bartender. Definitely call ahead for reservations if it is this busy in the off season!

We were so elated that we forgot our to-go containers. The experience was paramount, far exceeding expectations. We originally planned to go for chicken and waffles, but we ended up with the chicken, waffles and so much more. Perfectly seared Elk medallions, crispy cronuts, a fantastic tumeric cocktail, earl grey tea and unimaginable service courtesy of our server Beatrice M.10/10 would certainly recommend.

Vidalia has been mine and my wife’s go-to restaurant for special occasions for more than 10 years. It’s fancy, but affordable, in a cool, relaxed atmosphere. Food is always superb, portions are satisfying, and the service is fantastic. One of Boone’s finest!

Vidalia is always a great dining experience. The service, atmosphere and food are excellent. The menu offers a diverse selection of flavors in traditional and unconventional dishes. This night I dined on the tuna which was perfectly seared and combined with a plate full of layered flavors.

Very much enjoyed our visit. Lauren was very professional and, in to what she was selling which is always nice to see. We are restaurant industry, so it’s always nice to see it being appreciated elsewhere. She demonstrated that. Thank you Lauren for the service and your hard work. Loved visiting this restaurant.
