I met my son for lunch on his birthday. Very enjoyable lunch. I brought a birthday cake and had the restaurant bring it our at our meal conclusion. Nice touch! The Salmon Croissantt was delicious.

Nice local joint. Food is on the pub grub side, but though there's a bar, this place is about the food.

Pepper's is one of our favorite restaurants. We always eat there whenever we are in the Boone area. The food and service are consistently good. The only thing that would make Peppers even better would be their opening one in Monroe, NC.

Our table was ready early. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Food is always good here.

Our first visit to Pepper's was a real treat! It's a neighborhood gem tucked into a shopping plaza. We were happy to be able to make reservations on a holiday weekend and really didn't expect much. Boy, were we surprised. The staff is delightful. The food is outstanding...and it arrives piping hot! We shared a small serving of onion rings which was hot, crispy and more than enough. My shrimp and grits was yummy, though I wish they didn't leave the tails on the shrimp. They serve the shrimp mixture on a deep fried polenta cake, which was terrific. Hubby had salmon Florentine, also served on a deep fried polenta cake. We opted to sit in the bar which was pretty noisy, thanks to lots of folks having a good time. I suspect we'll become regular customers.

Excellent "Steak n Taters". Real good preparation on the med rare steak. Wife's shrimp was good but fries didn't taste fresh

Was in town for App State orientation and got a recommendation to go. It’s located in a plaza next to Harris Teeter, but I was surprised to see it was quite large inside. I sat at the bar, it’s selection of craft brew and bourbons is respectable. My dinner choice was a Southwest chicken wrap, one of the best Ive had. Others plates looked delicious. Service was excellent. Will be back!

Peppers is a “must go to” stop for me anytime I’m in Boone. The Jean Lawson Special never disappoints!

Entrées, prepared to order, make them piping hot from the kitchen; but they were not especially creative—nor memorable—though good quality and apparently local. Salads were the highlight of our meals with fresh, crisp and abundant ingredients. Roquefort cheese dressing, although not exceptional, was apparently homemade. Desserts, all baked in-house, were not sampled, but I’d return to try the huge cupcakes with coffee, since they did look delicious in a display case at the host’s station. Were I a local, I would probably be a regular; but, as the tourist in town—with friends on a 3-day-rendezvous—I was disappointed in just an ordinary dining experience.

Peppers is a great place to grab a burger or a salad. I met my son and his girlfriend for lunch. The portions were perfect and the food was hot and fresh. We enjoyed our lunch.
