Slow service, got my order wrong, food was just as bad as I remember from 25 years ago. Bummed.
Forgot my ranch and got half of my chicken tender order upon serving... Brought the 3 tenders that completed the order about 10 minutes later and they were Definitely fresher than the ones on the first served plate. Dining partner had 2 sides. Portions were so much smaller than the Hickory location where we usually go... Won't go back. Was told by a small business owner on the way home when we stopped to get gas, that location was going to be closed/shut down. I see why now. Won't go back if they're still there when visiting Boone Again. Very disappointing and definitely not worth 35$ considering portion size and chicken tender freshness.

The service was decent. I was able to get the peg game, which made me happy. When the food came, the bacon was delicious. However the french toast was bland and didn't remind me of my grandmother. Also, the rootbeer tasted watered down, as if it was shaken before I got it. It is also unfortunate that they no longer had the ice mugs, that was the main reason i use to go there all the time. 4/10 would visit on occasions.
We only go for breakfasts, but always enjoy Cracker Barrel for their scrumptious pancakes, eggs, etc. The wait staff is lovely, but rushed, as is normal in a busy place like this. We also love browsing the shop. It is our 'must do' on a trip to Boone
The chef came out and talked with us. Very impressive! Super good food. Both kids are EVERYTHING they ordered! ? Yup! We really had a good time. Thank you for making our experience great.
Not enough waitress. The young lady serving us was great and handled her whole area with a smile. Apparently corporate was there for what reason? Instead of helping with customer's, they were standing in the way of the employee's. They nice lady in the giftshop was amazing. And the district manager came to our table a few times to ask if we needed anything.
We've dined in and carried out. Both experiences receive 5 stars. You'll get consistently delicious Cracker Barrel food both ways. I suggest adding 5-10 minutes to your estimated pick-up time if you choose carryout and you're impatient. Otherwise you can browse the shopping while you wait.
