They were awesome with our large group. The food was delicious! All 20 of us enjoyed our entrees. Thank you Viinnie’s for helping celebrate our Mom’s 90th year.
Stumbled across this place by accident when we were looking for somewhere to eat dinner. AWESOME staff, food, decor! We truly enjoyed our dinner, the waitress was on point with everything!
Excellent service, food ready for pick-up, very entertaining atmosphere!
First time here and it was a great meal. Our waiter was Issac and he was so nice and attentive to our needs. We enjoyed the garlic knots, Greek Salad, Chicken Marsala and Chicken Parm. We finished with Cheesecake. Well worth the drive. We definitely will visit again next time visiting Asheville.
The staff and managerial staff was amazing. We made an order for catering and there was some confusion about pick up time. They went above and beyond to take care of us. The food was amazing!!! Will definitely be going again and again. Wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
I would like to preface this by saying I am not Italian (though I wish), but I am the most particular about Italian food because it is by far my favorite cuisine. Whenever I try a new Italian restaurant, I always want everything on the menu - I wish they had a huge sampling platter with everything on the menu! But, in my experience there are two things that will tell you if it’s a good authentic place or not - the spaghetti & meatballs and the lasagna. I got the Twice Baked Lasagna and it was hands-down the best lasagna I have ever had and I’ve had A LOT of lasagna. It was truly so good, I will dream of it until I have it again.Going backwards a bit (I got ahead of myself), we got the arancini as an appetizer. It was so fresh and creamy for something fried. It is paired with a smokey tomato sauce that is so good, you can taste the perfect amount of smokiness that pairs well with the arancini. I’ve never had anything like it.We both got drinks, I had the Kentucky mule and he had an old fashion. They have a full bar with drink specials. They make their own ginger beer, so I was interested to try. I personally did not like the pour of the mule, there was way too much ginger beer so I’m not sure I can make a judgement on the drink with one experience. My husband’s old fashion was perfectly made.My husband got the seafood fettuccini as an entree. He really liked it, it had clams, mussels, shrimp and veggies with a light, buttery white wine sauce. For dessert we had to try the tiramisu, another dish that is easy to mess up. But, they did not disappoint. First off, it was a huge slice which I appreciated. It had such a light and fresh taste for something so rich, it was amazing.Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. We went to the South Asheville location on a Friday night around 5:30pm. There isn’t a ton of parking and it was already packed (with no wait) when we got there, so clearly a popular place. Our waiter, Isaac, was phenomenal and so helpful with recommendations and took care of us. The staff never let an empty plate sit on the table for long at all. I will absolutely be returning here every trip to Asheville!
Our server was friendly & knowledgeable - shoutout to Tony! The food was delicious: Sunday Gravy, Chicken Marsala & Wedding Soup. Bonus: Kid friendly! Highly recommend.
I was so excited to see Vinnies in south Asheville. I’ve been to north Asheville location and was so happy to finally take my husband to dinner at S Asheville. They did not disappoint . Fantastic food and even better service. Isaac was absolutely spot on. Attentive to every need while allowing us to enjoy our company. We are foodies through and through and we are loving the new location of Vinnie’s
I visited Vinnies back in November with my sister and decided to go back again in March with my mother in law. We all loved it! It was a very nice experience to share with them. My sister typically hates Italian food, but she loved Vinnies!
Service was very attentive. Food was a little bit of a disappointment. It was okay but not as good as we expected from other reviews.
