I like local breweries but this one was curiously empty on a Sunday evening in the middle of tourist season. Fair prices but most selections were hoppy for my taste. Perhaps serving a blend of their own and more well-known national and regional fare would be a wiser business idea?

My wife and I stopped in here to try a few drinks before getting dinner. The bartender staff was quite nice and they had good selections of beer for us to choose from! We typically aren't beer drinkers and there was a full bar available...but we actually didn't take advantage of that. I think that's a first when we're both present! A good spot to unwind and try a few brews while visiting the area!

Service was great, and very personable. Quite a bit more beers to choose from than I expected - plus they had stickers for my husband.

Overall a fun place to hang out at, tasty beer and seltzers, and 2 of the three bartenders we saw there were pretty cool and fun to chat with, but the third was not very personable.More specifically, while our group was at the door, thanking the 2 guys upstairs, the 1 bartender from the Delerium bar downstairs ran up to catch us. He asked what we were up too, and right after someone in our group answered, he reminded us that we should be tipping our bartenders wherever we went. Not really sure why he had to catch us to tell us something we'd been doing while we were there, unless he thought there was some slight against him, or that we weren't tipping enough.Honestly I'd love to go back, though I probably won't head downstairs.

Was having a great experience at Thirsty Monk (not from Asheville). Great beers and nice bars. Bought 2 Belgium beers there and left. On my way out the bartender pulled me and my group to the side and asked what we were going to do next. I happily replied “getting ramen” thinking he might offer suggestions. Instead the bartender said “if you guys are going out later make sure you tip your bartenders.” Spoken like we were 5 year old children. I bought 2 beers and tipped on the second one for both. Everyone else in my group tipped as well. Personally I thought this was extremely rude. Took a great experience and ruined it with one sentence. Will not be going back if they do not appreciate me or my friends business. Great beer but be weary of rude and ungrateful staff.

Visiting out of state and visited this place because of the high star reviews. We walk in and are told that there are three floors and we could visit each floor as they had different choices of alcohol. We got beer on the middle floor and headed up stairs to sit down and check out options upstairs. We were immediately told “ you can’t be up here with those drinks” we told staff that we were not told this and asked why? We were told that each floor was a separate bar?!? Would have been nice to be told this as we walked in the door as we had people in our group that were not beer drinkers and wanted a different choice. I waited at the top of the steps while two of our group went to the bathroom. I was also told I wasn’t even allowed to wait at the top of the steps with the drinks in my hand. Mind you bathrooms are only on the top floor and bottom floor. So why couldn’t you take your drink with you to use the restroom?!?! I told them I was not able to carry everything downstairs and another staff removed the drinks from my hands and walked them down the steps. Rude staff!

Thought this was going to be a great experience but the staff was very rude. No one explained to us that you were not allowed in the different areas if you ordered drinks from another part of the bar! Instead of kindly explaining the situation we were greeted by two rude bartenders with attitudes, don’t even ask someone to hold your drink if you need to use the bathroom, they will make them leave the area like they are trash! Maybe you should explain things better when walking into the door, before being rude, and hopefully someone in your party doesn’t want a drink from another floor as they will have to enjoy their drink alone!

This was the friendliest brewery we went to in Asheville. Their flights have very generous pour ounces. Chelsea was such a patient and helpful beer-tender. We had the best time and can’t wait to go back!

Great place to start your brewery tour and great place to end it as well! When we first got there it just opened and it was no one there, which was awesome because we had a chance to really connect with the bartenders there! A great bunch of bartenders m that actually care! We checked the two floors that were open at 12:30 pm lol end leaving with 4 bottles of Delirium, a shirt, and a smile! We ended up coming back at 9 and they were bumping and STILL got phenomenal service! Great atmosphere! Highly recommended!

Excellent Belgian style brews, great atmosphere. Good variety of styles.
