Great service and amazing food! Will definitely be back if I’m ever in Asheville again!
This place is awesome! I come here at least once a week and usually end up sitting at the bar for multiple hours. The staff are kind, thoughtful, and efficient and make for great conversation. The food is absolutely amazing as well! There are few places where you can get made-to-order specialty sushi rolls and burgers while sitting down to a cocktail or a beer. They also have a beyond-meat burger patty substitution for any of their burgers which is an absolute plus for any vegetarians out there!
Appearance of the restaurant when my family and I entered was disappointing, the floors were disgusting. The staff all stood around talking, the cooks were in the back talking and joking around while on the phone (this was while we were waiting on the food). When the food did arrive it all looked good, at first. I order the Hurricane role and was extremely disappointed, it honestly tasted like canned fish. My boyfriend did say his burger was good but out of everything that was it. Definitely not worth the money.
Y’all… Asheville has a pretty terrible sushi scene. We’ve tried them all and nearly gave up.I NEVER thought I would find the best sushi in town at a business that had “burger” in the name. ? But it’s hands down the best sushi in Asheville. They even flipping have Uni!!!I hope as they get more popular they can start providing a more robust specialty fish list over the weekends. But other then that, just super happy I finally found a place to fill my sushi cravings at!Great quality fish for sashimi, perfectly seasoned rice, baller rolls, and all their sauces are made in house. 5/5 ??
The bartender, Ash, at the Merrimon Ave. restaurant is excellent, really knows how to make quality drinks that are attractive. Food is delicious and has an aesthetic appeal. Great sushi and ceviche.
The food and staff were great! Super friendly and personable. I ordered The Madness Burger...it looked interesting on the menu, but was skeptical of how it would taste. It was AMAZING! ? ? So glad I tried it. Go try this burger, it's madness...
The host who will be now known as Mr.Lillard aka Shaggy :)! He was and is amazing! From the moment we walked in the door, he is kind and polite and a beautiful soul ! The atmosphere is upbeat and everything I needed after working doubles from work, this is a beautiful place with beautiful people! I ordered the Nigiri & Dragon Roll and it was phenomenal! Thank you so much for an amazing experience and made our day amazing as well!
Second visit here after a sunny morning walk at Beaver Lake and visit to the bird sanctuary. Nick was a gracious conversant and helpful server. He had some good suggestions as well. The crab Rangoon dip was tasty and plentiful. Had enough to bring some home. Shared a nice sized salad and finished with a sushi roll which was delicious. When we left shortly after noon the restaurant was filling up and I had the sense that they were regulars as we are becoming. Delicious creative sushi and beef servings... Something for everyone.
My partner and I really love the food here, but my review isn't necessarily about the food but the service. We were running late on our to-go order and the manager Victoria handled it SO well. Tori was thorough, kind, and able to accommodate us since the highway was closed. It took us longer than expected to get there and it was near closing, but Tori reassured us that we could get our food before she left. Thank you very much Tori, I really appreciate you're time and service.
I would love to give 5 stars. The food was spectacular but the service is lacking. I take it all with a grain of salt due to Covid. But our server walked by our table twice with empty glasses and we felt as we were being avoided. The sushi is very good and the box mixes are too.
