I've been coming here for a couple of years now to see Eric Gold. He does hair and beards with professionalism - very accommodating and absolutely worth the trip downtown.
Great place to get a haircut. Make sure to book in advance on the website but sometimes has space for walk ins.
Ken was awesome and was SO kind to me! They squeezed me in on the same day after I was unable to get to my regular barber and did a fantastic job, despite the fact I’m sure they don’t always cut ladies hair. Would totally recommend them and I love that they’re dog friendly.Service: Haircut
These dudes are all talented and will give you a great cut, fade, or shave. At times they're gruff and harsh with razors, making it not the most pleasant experience. The speed at which they cut hair is mildly uncomfortable. Other customers, myself included, paid for a 30min haircut but you'll be out of the chair in under 25. If the overall experience was more pleasant it would be a 5 star experience. Maybe offering a free beer once in awhile could add to the enjoyability of Local Barber.

It was the day before our wedding, and it was pouring rain in Asheville. We showed up to the appointment a few minutes late, and the workers were incredibly rude and complained that they were filled with appointments all day (which was completely untrue based on their web-based scheduling system). Only come here if you want to be accosted and berated.
Visiting from out of town & needed a fresh cut. Easy to book an appointment online and after arriving early I was able to get in the chair a bit early too. Barber was friendly, quick, and did a great job!
Let the barber know it would be running late as I was unable to leave work in a timely manner. Showed up around 5 minutes after my appointment was set to begin. The barber informed me that we would likely not be able to do a full beard and haircut as his time is important and he wanted to be sure he had enough time reserved for other clients. As somebody who works on a regimented schedule as well I totally understand respecting others time, however a full haircut and beard trim cannot be done in 25 minutes or 30 minutes, I felt my appointment should have been 45-60 min long for the price and what was requested. Conversation was very pleasant, in the shop had a wonderful appeal. All in all I felt I was paying for a premium experience but left with a Great Clips quality. I will not be returning.
Jordan and team are great. Easy booking system online at barberandtap.com. I always walk away looking good and it doesn't take a long time like the place next door. They even will give you a beer while you wait, which you don't usually have to do.
