Yeah, you could spend less buying from the queen, but this is not the same! Absolutely delicious and the portions are generous. I had the banana split and it is certainly sharable! Super rich and creamy. Worth the wait if there is a line...
Was not happy with the service tried to start conversation and asked about the ice cream and the history of the ice cream shop and the response was blank when I was younger I used to love the hot but I'm a hot past here never go again
I've always been a big fan and supporter of the Hop. However, I feel it's needed to share my most recent experience at the West Asheville location Saturday, April 30th. There were two young guys and a young lady working, in which the two guys had their hair pulled up. The young lady had long hair and it was not pulled up in a hat or pony tail. Her hair was almost touching the inside of the ice cream container when scooping. A loose hair or anything could have fallen into the ice cream, which is unsanitary. I am not sure what the employee requirements are but I would suggest that whoever has long hair, they are required to pull it up in a hat or pony tail holder. This is the first time I have ever seen this happen at the Hop and I hope that next time I don't see this.
Super friendly staff. They were eager to answer questions and make suggestions. We specifically came for the vegan options. Everything was delicious!
Best ice cream ever. The whipped cream was homemade and not too sweet. The ice cream itself was so creamy and the flavor was just right.The person working, Henri, was super nice. You know when you go to a store and the person behind the counter can care less about anything? Not her. Really upbeat attitude.I’ll go eat some ice cream and just about always think “Not worth the calories.” But this place…… sooo good.I can see why they get such great reviews.
DELICIOUS dairy free flavors and there is always a variety! A big plus, GF cones!!I ate it so fast that I don’t have pictures, it was THAT good ?
Fresh and flavorful! I had 2 scoops of the No Sugar Added Cinnamon ice cream in a cup and it was soooooo good! Our kids enjoyed single scoops of vanilla with sprinkles and my boyfriend had lemon blueberry in a waffle cone and it was bright and citrusy. The staff members were very friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend and we'll surely be back when we come to Asheville again!
We were from out of town and decided we wanted ice-cream. Saw this on Google and decided to try! So, happy we did. The ice-cream was so yummy and OUTSTANDING! The homemade waffle cones were so fresh! The employee who waited on us was very kind and sweet.
Can't wait to go back & have 2 scoops of Aztec Chocolate, but my thin mint on top of ginger Molasses was awesome too.
