Anyone who gives this place less than 5 stars is an amateur, for one reason or another. If you don’t suck, you’ll enjoy this place. If you suck, you won’t. Simple as that.
Who I assume was the owner, was drunk and belligerent and kicked us out. We were a group all above our 30s and were not drunk or acting out in any way and just post-celebrating a wedding. He cursed people out, something about how we were supposed to sign in, went as far as to pull beers out of peoples hand that they had purchased from the bar and threw them away and shouted at us to leave. It was the most bizarre behavior I’ve ever seen.
Sunday karaoke was a blast. Great vibe inside. Classy establishment
Sweet little local spot. Have caught some cool small shows there from time to time.
When a dive bar transforms into a neighborhood bar, it gets its second crown. Come for the reasonable drinks, stay for the honky tonk.

The Double Crown is an excellent dive bar, one of the most fun ones I've visited. Like many NC bars, you have to pay $1 to become a lifetime member of their "private club" and drink. They have an awesome selection of whiskey at very reasonable prices. The bartenders are also extremely friendly and knowledgeable. This is definitely one of Asheville's best bars.

Violation 9f the hippa act to ask for proof of vaccination ,nothing more than glorified posturing. Vaxcines are useless, dr. Faucci himself said so. Only40% effective. No wonder it's been 5 years since I attempted to glorify this former daytime drunk establishment with my presence.
Rude bouncer. Won’t go back. Vax card required. They should post something on their website for out of town visitors, and on google maps, yelp, etc.
