Huitlacoche quesadilla was amazing, even though that it was lunch time we didn’t wait that long for our meals ???
OMG these are the absolute best tacos and sopas I've ever had in my life. Screw Chipotle. This place is hands down the best Mexican I've had in years.
I've been four times, the first three visits were easily five stars, but on the most recent visit, part of my order was wrong, so I dropped it to four stars. But in general there isn't much to say, the tacos are absolutely delicious, and the prices/portions are fair. I visit every time I'm in Asheville, and look forward to it for weeks in advance. Just make sure you know your Spanish numbers (including 20's, 30's, etc) because when your food is ready they call out your order number in Spanish
Me and all my friends ordered Birria. We were served burritos, and all of us knew it was wrong. I asked to make sure we ordered birria and was told we did in fact order birria and not burritos. None of us were happy with the burritos as it is not what we came for. Definitely feel lied to like they think I don’t know Hispanic food. Then my Hispanic boyfriend ordered food to go cause his order was right, and they ended up Messing that up too (he even ordered in Spanish). We are on a mission to find the best birria in town and this restaurant definitely made its way to the bottom without us even getting to try it. If I could give less stars I would.
Food is absolutely amazing and the most authentic Iv had since moving from Charlotte. They give you enough food for a feast and everything is so fresh, cant ask for anything more.
Visiting Asheville this week and have eaten here two nights in a row! True authentic Mexican food at its finest. Do not let the storefront fool you, it’s very clean and not crowded. Highly recommend. Asada burrito and asada tacos.
Great place for AUTHENTIC Mexican cuisine! Menu is limited, but it hits all the best spots! Tortillas are handmade and absolutely delicious!I had the cabeza (cheek) and lengua (beef tongue) tacos and they were absolutely divine! My friend had the chicken and carnitas tacos and he loved them, too! Pair it with an agua fresca and you'll feel as wonderfully miserable as I do, too ( ate WAY TOO MUCH!).As a Mexican, this was hands down the best Mexican food spot I've been to in Asheville.Happy Grubbin'!
SO GOOD!Growing up in Reno, NV - a city rich in Hispanic culture, I was spoiled with authentic Mexican Food.Walking into this taqueria was like coming home. From the homemade tortillas to the agua fresca, you couldn’t find a bad item on their menu.We had asada + lengua tacos, chile rellenos, and tamales, as well as hibiscus & pineapple fresca. The whole meal was worth writing about!I’ve definitely found my new favorite place to eat.
One of the best taco places I’ve been to and a really affordable place to eat in Ashville. We ordered a bunch of different types of tacos, some tamales, and sopes. One of the things that stood out about this place is that their tortillas are homemade. It was extremely delicious. Their tamales were huge and packed with tasty meats. I also liked their salsa bar where you could add many different toppings and sauces to your tacos.I paired everything with a side of Horchata and it was perfect.
This place is AMAZING. Authentic Mexican Taqueria flavors, homemade tortillas, and home made aguas frescas. It has become a tradition of my family to stop here on our way back home from Asheville.
