Ahh what can I say. Been coming here for a few years and they never disappoint! Their vanilla plant based ice cream sandwich is to die for ??! I have literally been driving here an hour from Morganton just for that specific reason a few times lol. They have other plant based options now that I have yet to try but definitely will next time I come around!!
I’f you want a unique and delicious dessert this is the place. I absolutely loved my mint chocolate chip ice cream and cookie sandwich. I could barely finish. Worth the money!! Very friendly staff as well.
We stopped here after going on the LaZoom tour and listening to the tour guide talk about the amazing homemade cookies and ice cream they had. We literally stepped off the bus and walked right down there and we were not disappointed. Delicious cookies and ice cream and huge portions.
Excellent treats! Stopped in with out of town ice cream lovers and we were all happy. My husband and I shared the coconut milk based mint chocolate chip on a chocolate cookie. It was awesome! In house made ice cream and cookies and great service, highly recommended.
Do yourself a favor and stop by here for a ice cream and cookie sandwich. Yum! You can pick two different types of cookies too.
How can you not live two fresh baked cookies with a ton of ice cream between them. Very creamy ice cream! Definitely worth a visit!
We saw Sunshine Sammies at another wedding and knew we had to have them at ours! They were great about fitting a catering plan to our needs and the ice cream sandwiches are absolutely delicious! The truck was so fun for everyone to get their sandwiches at the wedding, we loved every bit of it!
Sunshine Sammies was so easy to work with. They pulled their truck right up to Timber Hall and the guests had a ball trying different flavors. It was everything we were hoping for and more. Thank you!
Don't quite think we'll come back here again. It was good for us to try it though. The lady taking our order didn't smile or greet us or offer up suggestions. She just stood there staring at us until we told her what we wanted. I enjoyed my strawberry patch (strawberry ice cream between sugar cookies). Cookies were soft. My husband's chocolate cookies were so hard....he didn't like them at all. Our main issue is that it's a very thick layer of soft ice cream between two cookies. As soon as you take your first bite the thick layer of ice cream just shoots out the back of your sandwich....landing on the table/floor/your hands. They are just so messy and hard to eat. Honestly a stressful eating experience!
