The food here is good but the service is mediocre at best. I have eaten here six times in the last year and twice they shorted my order. Once i didn't get my side and one time they left out three orders of corn bread at $7.95. That's $2.65 for a piece of corn bread that's not very good and then get ripped off for it. check your order before you leave.

The food is fantastic! Everything is made fresh and perfect temp when served. It was really quick service, even with a bit of a lunch line. The sweet tea is just what I would hope for at a southern bbq spot!
Excellent barbecue. We ate there for the first time today. The gentleman who served us was extremely nice and personable. Love the food! Definitely will be going back again!

We have been customers of Shorties since they opened. The BBQ is excellent as well as the wicked beans, Cole slaw, hushpuppies and their Awesome fries! Never had BBQ sauce as good as theirs! We are very particular about our BBQ and they are superior to any we have had! Their staff and cooks have always treated us like family. The BEST of the best!!
Was here on vacation and was excited to try this place out but the girl says they sold out of food at 6:30pm on a Thursday yet their lights are on and there are a ton of workers in the building. So disappointing.
Best place for lunch in Asheville for a working person! Awesome food and excellent service priced right.Drive thru or walk up quick service for your lunch break. (If you’re in a large work truck or pulling a trailer you can park and walk up!). Highly recommend for lunch as a worker????
