The food was great! The spicy bean dip I can say was NOT spicy, not even a hint of spice to it. Just plain bean dip. Everything else was really good and we admired a lot of plates on other tables too! Very small establishment so it did and can feel a bit crowded. Also located in a very busy area. Service was also really good to us and kind. They have a specific bottle of water they serve with glasses, however it isn't free and there is a charge for it. If ever in the area I would come back.

I’ve done over 500 reviews and this is hands-down the best restaurant that I’ve eaten at! My girlfriend could not stop talking about the food here. This is not a typical Mexican restaurant - their menu is basically a “South American” food tour. The price was fantastic as we had some margaritas too - for two people with large “two meal” size plates and drinks the price was $80.00. There were cheaper options but we picked wonderful options! The staff was also fantastic too. Accommodating and attentive, food came out very quick. I’d say it took less than 5 mins for the drinks and we ordered quickly. Within 15 mins of arrival we were eating. The photos say it all!!

Variety of dishes from multiple Spanish countries (Cuba, Spain, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, etc.) They have 5 different paellas —5! The Flavor of their food is not over powering but enjoyable. I had the Cuban Ropa Vieja. Nice blend of spice and sweet but not hot. It was awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Service from Jason was fantastic. He took time to explain the spices in a dish to our 11 year old. The drinks were delicious. I had a passion fruit mojito. Very enjoyable. Not too sweet. Just right. This restaurant is excellent anywhere, anytime. I highly recommend it.

Stopped at Salsas for dinner while we were on vacation in Asheville and it did not disappoint!! The dishes were huge, filling, and full of flavor. I regret not finding out what the green sauce is that they served on almost every entree and with their chips and salsa. I would absolutely return for the food. The pineapple margarita was also very good. The outside atmosphere was wonderful. The inside looked a little cramped so we were very lucky to get a big table outside on a nice Saturday evening.Unfortunately the service was very very slow. Our waiter was nice but we would only see him every 15 minutes or so… also I find it kind of ridiculous that 1) the only water they offer is bottled that is $4.50 each and 2) we were not told about this before we received the check. It would have been nice to have a heads up that we were being charged for water. Especially on top of the fact that the food was pricey (but 100% worth it!!!)All in all I would definitely return for the food and make sure to get a table outside. Thanks Salsa’s!!

The food was worth the wait. I had no idea I would be served such a large and savory meal, I had plenty to take home for leftovers. The service was okay, and the table we had was a little awkward with seating being kinda tight, but I would definitely return for the food.

Excellent food, excellent service, clean, friendly and great atmosphere. Couldn’t be more impressed and so happy I stopped in while traveling from out of town.

Visiting Asheville and we love Mexican food so were intrigued by this twist on the traditional Mexican restaurant. We were divinely surprised with the deliciousness of the food. Not inexpensive eats but absolutely worth the price. My husband had a Pork Cuban Plate and I had the Cuban Ropa Veija. Totally new flavors for me and I wished we lived closer.

We have eaten food called Mexican in many states and countries. We were owner/partners with friends in Mexico for several years and traveled to many parts of Mexico. But we have never been served anything that could compare to the taste, quality and presentation of what we were served just 2 days ago. We wish we could relocate just to enjoy every dish on the menu.

THe food was great and the portions were large, The only reason I gave it a four was the atmosphere in the alleyway for outdoor seating. Service was also great. We found this place while walking downtown. We will be back.

I’ve been here before a few years ago and it was amazing. This visit was so so. To start we ordered drinks and apps immediately but our drinks came about half way through th nachos. The food lacked flavor. Hopefully it will be better next time I go!
