5 stars for the coffee and service, but only 3 stars for the pastries. They heat them up, but the center remains cold both for the quiche and the ham and cheese croissant. Excellent coffee otherwise!
Rowan Coffee is a great addition to the coffee scene in Asheville. It has a full coffee bar with seasonal roasts on rotation, pastries and sandwiches with vegan and gluten free options. Cozy atmosphere in a well designed space inspires work or relaxation.
Went to Rowan at the suggestion of a friend and I'm so glad I did. The espresso and syrups were smooth. The food was surprisingly decent for a coffee shop (I ordered a scone and a quiche). The decor and presentation were excellent. And to top all of that off the staff was super sweet.Pictured: a seasonal iced coffee that I can't remember the name of, hot latte with honey lavender syrup, scone split in two.
Best rhubarb danish EVER!! Cold brew coffee was great too but dang that danish! Which I lived closer!! The staff was friendly and fast. Great place!
Rowan is fantastic! Lots of attention to detail in decorating/vibe. Grab a cup of great coffee, a snack, sit, and enjoy the great atmosphere.

Our favorite coffee shop in Asheville! Highly quality, hand-crafted drinks in a beautiful setting. Unique favors which change seasonally. Good service and convenient downtown location that's easy to walk to.
Wi-Fi was out today but the baristas were warning people about it before they ordered. Really appreciate that!
I loved the attention and the service. The coffee was just perfection. I got the “No, this is Patrick” that you MUST try. My boyfriend got a cappuccino that also was delicious! I loved that they were dog friendly and I would go every week if I were a local. If you are on vacation and you’re looking for a nice coffee shop…this is the one!
Absolutely stellar coffee shop. Love the ambiance of the store. Expertly made drinks. I was especially surprised by their hot chocolate, of all things. Rich and decadent without being too cloying. My kids each had one and they're lucky I didn't steal one from them!
