Delicious food, attentive service, comfortable ambiance. Grazed on multiple small plates taking a tour of French favorites from escargot to onion soup to pâté then shared the duck l’orange, sauce and seasoning were spectacular (duck was a tad overdone but smothered in sinful sauce so it didn’t create more than a brief comment before we tucked in to further stuff our faces) Sharing an entree freed us up to share a dessert (the pastry rolled banana with coconut ice cream yum) and then we rolled out of there to complain about how full we are. Definitely the type of place I’m hard pressed to leave a glowing online review for because I selfishly always want there to be room for me without a wait!
We had a truly exceptional meal at Rendezvous. The location was perfect with no parking issues that you will have at a downtown restaurant. Plus you can play Petanque (or Boules) or watch others play on the specially built court. Recommend that you reserve a table a few days ahead if possible.
One of the best eateries in Asheville, an out of the way spot that never disappoints. Excellent service, excellent wine list, great cocktails. Carefully crafted menu with French classics as well as inspired dishes sourced from local ingredients.
Delicious! Our server, Steven, was fantastic and took such good care of us with food and wine recommendations. Everyone was very accommodating when half our party got trapped in traffic and ended up being 30 minutes late for our reservation- we were able to order appetizers and take our time ordering entrees until everyone got there. The food was amazing! Loved the French onion soup and the crème brûlée was the perfect finish to our evening. We had a great time!!
Our favorite local upscale. Consistently excellent French comfort food, amazing desserts! Love the wild caught salmon and duck l'orange with a touch of chocolate. Casual dining especially on new covered patio. Can't wait to try new heaters in cool weather.
Great food great services great outdoor atmosphere! We had a rehearsal dinner there. It was a suggested location by our Airbnb host, it did not disappoint! Mussels were wonderful, and everything thing else! A+++ from this family!???
We visited over the weekend for my birthday. My husband made the reservation which was a surprise.Everyone greeted with a Happy Birthday and even had a Candle in my dessert. The duck was amazing and Tabitha was awesome.
attentive service and delicious food...love the outdoor space
6 of us out for dinner and we heard from locals to try the Rendezvous. What a treat. The food tends to be a little heavily salted so perhaps ask your wait person in advance to ask the chief to hold back a little. . Suggest you each try a different entrees so you can a great taste of everything. Try to go when Warren is playing. His music will only add to your dinning experience. Nadia is a great great wait person and will help guide you through the dinner and wine menus. Small plates available for those with smaller appetites.
Started off on the wrong foot by not being able to park. Our server, Jeff, was excellent. Mussels appetizer was very good. Duck was very good but too sweet and expensive. The coating couldn't be appreciated under the thick sweet orange sauce. The beef bourguignon was not good. Meat was tough and stringy, no depth or flavor complexity. Worse than my mother's pot roast (sorry mom).I'll keep an eye on future reviews, but for now will not plan on returning.
