DO NOT… I repeat DO NOT sit at this table. $20 bucks down the drain. And by drain I mean my husbands lap. Maybe the coffee was good? I’ll never know.BTW… toilet does not flush. Not even a little bit.
Barista rushed our order and didn't seem to want to be there. Space was dingy and could use a good clean in all spots! Our bagels were good.
Great, off the beaten trail, relaxing, sit awhile, VIBE! My cappuccino was excellent and so was their gluten free banana bread.
This was right next to our Air BnB so it was our every morning stop for coffee and so glad that it was, their iced coffee was so good and I even started getting a bagel to walk around town with in the mornings. Would definitely recommend stopping in here even if it is one day during your stay since there are so many different coffee stores in the city!
Cute place to get coffee in downtown Asheville. Affordable. Walkable from our hotel. Hilton Garden Inn.
Really great coffee and plenty of options. The staff are delightful and expert.
Good coffee and interactive staff. Got the 8 ounce drink and it was well done.
Take out only. I went in early morning, no music playing, and lukewarm service. Food was okay and under $10 for mocha and bagel.Maybe the two guys were having an off day. I asked about seating inside and I was told take out by the guy who rang me up. He then proceeded to sit down at the other end of the counter and looked at his phone while the other coworker made my drink and finished fixing the bagel. Great teamwork.
The two people in our party who got iced coffee felt is was "OK", but not great. The latte (with SF vanilla, unsweetened almond milk), however, was ammmmmazing. Even better (one member of our party has a gluten allergy), they had delicious bakery items including GF banana bread that we ended up going back for again the next day. The bagel with spicy hummus should be on your short list...YUM.
We were excited to try Penny Cup after seeing reviews, but we weren’t really impressed with the coffee. Neither of our drinks were particularly great and we didn’t think the staff was friendly either. We went to multiple coffee places in Asheville & this was our least favorite.
