We are staying in Black Mountain to celebrate my fiancés 40th birthday. We took her to Packs to celebrate with her parents. Outstanding staff and the food was out of this world!!! Highly recommend going to Packs Tavern if your visiting Asheville NC!!

We had our first visit on Father's Day. From the service (Colby was absolutely the best waiter!), to the food, everything was simply amazing. Would recommend to anyone in the area and we will definitely be back!

My wife and I ate at Pack Tavern for a late lunch/dinner before a show in Asheville. This place is easy to find but parking was a bit of a challenge for someone who is not knowledgeable.to the Downtown area. Once parked , we enjoyed a good lunch that met or exceeded the reviews I had read on TI.I had a house salad and a pizza which was good, my wife had the bacon and tomato sandwich with fries. The server was awesome and everyone was very friendly.

The service was exceptional! Kenny was a great waiter! The outdoor deck space is super enjoyable! Try the corn dip!

Clean restaurant with excellent service and food. I had a fantastic margarita with fish tacos. The jicama slaw on top was a great touch. My spouse has the brisket Mac and cheese. It looked delicious and he verified that it was. Would definitely go back.

We were told that this place was very good and the girl who told us was right. The bar servers make great drinks and are very friendly. The food is delicious. We shared a corn dip with nacho chips. It was creamy add had a very yummy flavor. We then shared an amazing sandwich. Thick bacon, fried green tomatoes sandwich with special miso on toasted wheat bread. It was just great. Packs is just a few minute walk from Marriott downtown Asheville. We would go back here if I’m that area again.

Brought a pup and sat in the back patio on a gorgeous summer day. Colby was our waiter and was a delight.Ordered the nachos with steak and the Thai salad with unseasoned chicken (for the dog) Both great, the steak bits were good. Doggo seemed happy with his chicken. We burned through two cans of summer bubbles and a bottle of bubbles. Colby kept our water cups full and checked in on us frequently. It was so great to sit out by the fountain and listen to the kids shriek their way through the water while I watched a guy on a unicycle juggle.I can see what the fuss is about, it's a fun vibe, the food is solid, and the people watching is prime.Excited to go back and see what it's like inside.

Excellent food and outstanding service. Blackened chicken pasta was fantastic. Pot roast was wonderful. Franklin was an awesome server and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

My husband and I were passing through Asheville for one night and looking for a laid back atmosphere for dinner. Pack’s Tavern hit the spot. Really cool that it’s in a restored building. I ordered the short ribs Mac and cheese and it was tasty. I would eat here again.

We were a group of five on a girls trip. We had such a good time! We were greeted warmly by the hostess, promptly seated. Our server was Franklin. He was amazing! Very patient with all of us trying to decide on lunch. He helped us by suggesting some local breweries, cocktail bars, etc. Our food was delish! We would definitely go back!
