This restaurant features many favorite Japanese dishes, plus prepared in-house Sushi. We ate lunch there one day. I ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken with a Bowl of delicious Egg-Drop Soup with Fried Noodles, You could also choose a fresh crisp salad with Ranch or Ginger Dressing instead of the Soup. They also have Miso and Wonton soups. My husband chose Cashew Chicken with Stir-Fried Rice and Mixed Vegetables. He had the petite salad with ginger dressing. Our entrees were first class. The lady that waited on us was so sweet and hospitable. We will eat here again the next time we're in town.
Es delicioso y muy buena atención
Best wontons I've ever had. Also server was very nice and attentive!Food came out HOT and fresh, I will definitely be coming back :)
This place is good my husband loves the sushi (but I don’t eat sushi) So I always order some type of chicken meals when he gets sushi. First I tried to order the crispy honey chicken which they said they were out of (if it’s made fresh how are they out but can serve other fried chickens?) so I went with the general tso’s chicken the flavor was good however I wish the chicken quality was better they give a huge portion of chicken but the chicken was thigh meat very dry and stringy so I literally only ate like 3 pieces unfortunately. It would be soooo much better if it was made with white meat chicken!! For such a huge portion of chicken I was shocked at how tiny the side of rice was that came with it I even ordered another side of rice to go and it came in the smallest container I’ve ever seen at an Asian restaurant. Rice is cheap so I don’t understand why so stingy with it.
This is by far the worst place I have eaten at in Asheville and one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had anywhere. Walking in, we were greeted by a nearly dead, upside down Koi drifting on the bottom of their fish tank. Probably should have been a sign to turn around and go somewhere else. But, we pressed on due to all of the good things we had heard about the place.A lady, who I’m assuming was the manager or owner, then came up to us and said booth, pointed across the room, and walked away. We sat ourselves and proceeded to wait about 5 minutes for menus. The waitress took our drink order and returned about a minute later and asked us if we wanted to order. We had not even had enough time to open our menus. Once we got settled in, we ordered some appetizers, pork pot stickers and spring rolls, and they were pretty good. They were definitely the highlight of our meal.I ordered three sushi rolls for my meal and my fiancé ordered a steak bento box. Our salad and soup came next. She had a house salad with ginger dressing and I had the wonton soup. Her dressing tasted nothing of ginger and my wonton soup tasted like vegetable oil. The crispy wontons looked like corn tortillas cut into strips and fried and tasted like dish soap. We didn’t eat either of them. After waiting about 35 minutes for our food, her entree finally came out. Mine didn’t come out for another 10-15 minutes. Her steak was mushy and unseasoned. The teriyaki sauce was overly sweet, as was the tempura. Her fried rice tasted of soap. The sushi was actually pretty good, with the exception of the tuna roll. There were two obviously different types of fish in it and it had a very fishy flavor. When I asked the waitress about it, she said she didn’t know what the other fish was. Our dirty dishes remains on our table throughout the meal until I finally asked the waitress to take them away.Needless to say, we won’t be returning to Pacific Pagoda and would advise anyone with any decent taste in food to stay away as well.
We have lived in South Asheville for 2 years now, and have only discovered this place just one week ago! We have been twice in one week if that says anything about the quality of food and service. From the decor to the freshness of the ingredients in each dish… this place is a MUST!
Just moved to Asheville and was pleasantly surprised to find my new favorite sushi/chinese/thai restaurant almost immediately. They have really great table service (the restaurant looks like you stepped into Japan with the closed in booth and sushi bar) and the takeout section is in a different area so you don't have people crowding the entrance to the restaurant.Really good place to grab sushi and Chinese (so far the Thai has not been my fave)
great sushi and they offer a dedicated take-out space
Favorite restaurant bar none. Doesn't matter what i order, though i am partial to spicy.Amy, Andy and Lisa will always make sure it's made to our liking . Not quite what you want , no problem they can do it for you the way like it.Sushi and sashimi, fresh and delicious.Spicy Singapore Pasta, one of my favorites.Try Pacific Pagoda, you won't be disappointed.
A+ all the way around. Extensive menu, excellent food and A+ Sushi! Great wait staff and everyone wears masks (important to me in this time in the middle of a pandemic).
