Good service and food ? the scenery is great too
The restaurant views are amazing but the service for dinner was poor. When asked questions about the menu the waitress seemed bothered a d rushed and started to leave the table again instead of wait if there were more questions. Plating of food was sloppy and it looked very greasy and un appetizing. The taste matches the appearance.
Management promotes a toxic and hostile work environment. They infringe in employees personal lives. If you are not apart of the problem, you will be considered the problem. Servers add gratuity to checks unknowingly for double tipping. Management calls guest in their hotel room to complain about not tipping. Kitchen has a old school attitude of cussing out the servers. Your job will always be in jeopardy. They fire at will for no reason.
Breakfast buffet is delicious and fresh. Dinner was also great. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
Amazing breakfast buffet. Extremely fresh and some of the best smoked salmon. Omelet station, fresh toast all amazing. John is extremely hospitable and accommodating. Highly recommend, will make this a regular stop when in Asheville.
Had breakfast buffet. Cold eggs and sausage. Hard biscuits.Had to look into pots to see what was in it, no labels.
We were driving in to Asheville and chose The Overlook as it was in the hotel where were staying. The main problem is that the restaurant was entirely closed at the time that I made reservations. We ended up eating at the bar and it was fine, but the business should be more consistent with the accuracy of their hours.
The staff did an amazing job by helping me purchase a bottle of champagne and some sweets to celebrate my sisters engagement. The presentation was beautiful! Thank you for making the moment memorable.
Ate the breakfast buffet daily while here for a conference. Very good. Cassie was our waitress, and she's a doll.
What a beautiful building! The stone fireplace just beyond the foyer is the largest I've ever seen, and the warm glow through the ornate fire screen added to the warmth. The dining room is huge and how nice to have a really quiet place to eat and enjoy conversation without having to shout over the din of many restaurants these days. Alan gave us a great table with a view of the course and mountains. Monte, our server, was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us dedicated service. The chili was tasty and hot, the burrata and grilled peaches was the perfect starter for me. The pork sliders were a good entree and the kale and quinoa salad was a real treat. The carrot cake wasn't too sweet, rich and moist and we were served a generous piece to share.
