Ordered online at 7:20pm on Saturday, order confirmed, and delivery to be at 8:18pm.8:30, no food. No problem, just a few minutes late.8:45pm, still no food. I remember last time I did a carry out someone who worked there saying that the online ordering systems delivery times were wrong, no big deal, I can wait.9:30pm...text saying that my order has been cancelled due to the restaurant being closed, when the website clearly states that you close at 10:30pm. But regardless, I placed my order two hours ago , so it shouldn't matter whether or not you're closed now, you weren't when I placed my order...two hours ago. But, none of this would have been a problem, if anyone had bothered to answer the phone on any of the dozen occasions that I tried to call to figure out where my food was. At least then I could have made other arrangements. So I understand being busy, and I understand computer systems that don't do exactly what you want. But I can't abide just poor customer service. Any person on your staff calling me and saying "hey, we know you placed your order two hours ago but we had to cancel it because of (insert any plausible explanation here)" would have led me to continue doing business with you in the future. But since all I get is no food and an automated dear John text, I'll do my business elsewhere. Thanks for many years of wonderful food, and I hope you guys can get your system straight in the future.Thank you.

This is our go-to place for Chinese food. Have now ordered about 6 times and have never had an issue. Their General Tso tofu is my wife’s favorite in the city. Not sure about all the negative reviews, but I would definitely recommend.

Oriental Pavilion in Westgate Plaza, Asheville: Maybe the worst restaurant in Asheville, nothing respectable about what they pass off as Chinese food. Nothing traditional here. My online order and what I got for $55:- Pork Fried Rice – tasteless greasy browned rice and dry over cooked chunks of tough roast pork- BBQ Ribs – overcooked, tough, swimming in some kind of clear, sticky, sweet goo.- Roast Pork with Green Beans – greasy overcooked green beans with pieces of tasteless pork, not roast pork and nothing crisp about either the beans or the pork as is traditional, really disgusting- Beef Lo Mein – greasy tasteless noodles with some thin pieces of beef- Egg Roll – they don’t make the traditional roast pork egg rolls, so I got chicken, about the size of a large tootsie roll, tasteless and dry with no cabbage inside as is traditional- Wonton Soup – the only acceptable item in my orderUsed to be a restaurant with 20+ booths, no longer in use, looks like a warehouse inside, no food served on site, only takeout and delivery. One young white rough woman at pickup desk who was more interested in answering the phone than taking my payment and giving me my bag of food. One other young white woman brought my order from the kitchen in the far back of the restaurant. No one else, and no Chinese or Asian people to be seen. Ended up waiting while the woman at the desk finished one call and then took four more while I waited to pay for my order.Don’t waste your money, find a nice small Chinese family owned and operated restaurant for the best. There used be more than one in Asheville. Sad and conspicuous in their absence, we really need some again, please.Saturday May 28, 2022 7:45pm

We placed an order from oriental pavilion thru uber eats. The order was messed up. It was missing vegetables and fried rice and egg rolls were soggy. It was nasty and not eatable. We threw in trash. We called uber eats to tell them what was delivered. They said they would give us 965.00 refund. We told them it wasn't our order. She wouldn't listen and told up to call the restaurant and hung up.Needless to say we are not happy. We then called restaurant to complain, she said we should have ordered directly from them instead of thru uber eats. Said if we would have ordered from them, the order is printed in Chinese and the back would understand it, She said IIf I were you stay clear of oriental pavilion. needed to call uber eats. So we're out 40.00 and no dinner.

Food was good. I Got fried rice with tofu and some dumplings. Love all The Karen’s on here leaving comments. My personal favorite is the dude upset with the “grunge” look/music from the person taking orders. In my experience the best Chinese food places have bad reviews because they don’t cater to the average entitled American.

I have lived in this area for 2-1/2 years. I have eaten from this restaurant 3 times. The food is always good. This time the service was not. Menus stacked at the door clearly stated lunch specials with soup or egg roll starting at 5.95. Upon ordering the waitress said soup was extra. I showed her on the menu it was included. Upon getting our bill, our lunch was 7.24 along with extra charge for the soup. We brought this to their attention again. They argued with us and wouldn't make it right and blamed it on someone else. I left paying the extra. I don't want to say I won't be back but I am very disappointed. They should have had us pay the printed price (5.95) today and next time have the correct menu printed instead.

I would give them zero if I could. Arrive no one in restaurant, 1 person waiting for takeout. Up pops a young women from behind the counter looking as if she were going to a grunge party, same type of music playing. I ordered waited for about 25 minutes. While waiting another young women with the same grungy look came out from back. They hung out chatting away. One other person came while I was waiting for take out. When the women brought in y food I took it and drove home when I opened the bag and looked at the ticket it was not anything I had ordered. I drove all the way back to sir I am so sorry when I entered the restaurant. I could understand the mistake if they had been busy but there was no one there and only 1 other take out order. I told the women it was my first time and probably my last time coming there, her reply ök have a good night!” Gothome unpacked the food it was all tasteless hot sour soup neither hot or sweet, house fried rice bland and had a funny smell, general tasó chicken wat to sweet … the fish was prepared with a nice seasoning but not enough taste to take away the disappointment from the entire experience. They should fire both those women and act like an Asian restaurant not a grunge club. Don’t bother eating here or ordering take out you will be disappointed.

Live right up the street, always been reliable Chinese food for us. Good stuff and thankful for kind service. Always get tofu, so cant comment on any meats. ??????

Buyers beware! Delivery was on time and that was the only good thing about the place. Most of the food was so burnt we could not eat it. See picture. When we called Carol told us they have been having lots of complaints lately and told us to leave a negative comment she didn't care. Worst customer service. :( the food actually made me sick. Find another Chinese place for quality food.
