Recently went for the first time after years of hearing good things. I've been sleeping on it for sure. Great vibe and friendly staff. The appetizers were fire and great to share with my group. I really love the mango vinaigrette! I had the signature Nine Mile with rice and it did not disappoint. I asked for it as hot as it comes, and they brought the heat. Flavours still shined through and the chicken was perfect. Highly recommend the Live and Give!
Actually kinda speechless. SO good. Every bite heavenly. We got the Kingston 12 and Soul Rebel (this one is the staff favorite). Parking isn’t awesome, so be prepared for a walk and a wait. Worth it.
One of the best meals I've at in a while. Highly recommend eating here. It's worth the wait for sure.
We stumbled across Nine Mile West after having a pleasant meal the previous week at the adjacent Thai Pearl (also very good.) We knew the line out the door had to be a good sign! No reservations so I would strongly suggest arriving early or being prepared to wait. That said, any wait will be worth your while. I had the Nolan which was shrimp and gently sautéed vegetables on a bed of linguine with coconut sriracha sauce. Mango and bean sprouts were on top and it was a little piece of heaven. I also appreciated that they were transparent about making the dish without scallops in an effort to keep costs reasonable. I went with a party of six and everybody loved their meal. This is a not to be missed stop!
I arrived 20 min before closing and the host said no to my “to go” until I told him I would just take a soup and salad. I got the asparagus soup and the Skanking Salad. Don’t know who picked that name. Either way took it back to motel and was very impressed. Th I was spot on, bits of pineapple and the Mango dressing was very refreshing. Nice hip place that seemed to be in walking distance for many of the people coming and going.
Oh my gosh. The food was delicious. We had the loaded nachos and the mahi. The salsa is delicious. They accommodated my allergy with beans on the side. There were so many good things to choose from on the menu. Everybody was happy
do yourself a favor and eat here. jamaican food done right, you can't go wrong with whatever you order.
This place is always busy on the weekends- be prepared to wait for your food a loong time. Definitely order chips to hold you over.Once dinner arrive you will understand why the place is so popular. Delicious, warm and fresh.Staff could be a little more professional, attentive.Don’t assume everyone is a tourist.Guy with ponytail behind the bar is always awesome.
Great little restaurant on Haywood Rd. Staff was very friendly with a good selection of micro-brews. Our food was delicious
We were staying down the street and after a long drive, the brief walk was just what we needed. And it was worth it! Great meal and plenty of leftovers I had salmon with spinach fettuccini, and my husband had chicken with fusilli, along with a wonderful cream of mushroom soup. Definitely recommend!
