Confirming the arrogant bouncer with an attitude is still there. We turned around and left after 2 condescending sentences from him. We thought the 1 stars were just antivaxxers mad at vaccine requirements but no, it’a just a genuinely unfriendly establishment to everyone.

The diviest dive bar that I've found in Asheville and I am a true connoisseur of dive bars I have been to the finest / sketchiest dive bars across this country and I'll tell you the lazy diamond is a gem.
I think the one female bartender thought I was someone else, bc she was incredibly rude, like went out of her and was on a mission rude. Only way it makes sense is if she thought she knew me. I was visiting from out of town and tipping well. Could not understand. She was nice to my gf when she would order but flipped a switch when I wanted something. Get it together ladies, such a strangely horrendous experience.
Have never had an establishment request my flu vaccine status. Especially after mask mandate has been lifted and no data confirming the vaccine will prevent the spread of Covid. Will never visit again.
Cool bar with very affordable drinks. Definitely has a 70's tinsel and Xmas vibe. They required vaccination cards for entry which is fair and I'm glad to see that it was enforced appropriately (after reading several 1 star reviews of people who did not like this). Not super spacious and no frills but good service and prices.
If I could have give less of a rating I would have. Rudest female bartender I have ever encountered. We were in Asheville for a bachelorette party spending money and she seemed too annoyed and bothered to treat us fairly. Sarcastic, cold, and plain rude. Certainly not who I would have as the face of my bar. Would not go back and have already shared my opinions with others. Maybe they just want the locals. Good luck with that ✌?
Used to go here semi frequently with groups of friends, no longer due to their "pro-segregation" policy. Asheville is already a city with purported issues with diversity, if you didn't know, minorities are the least likely to get the jab. It's a real shame, businesses with policies like this encourage separation in a time when we need more unity.
Fun atmosphere even though the bartender was rude. It’s simple folks, don’t be in customer service if you can’t handle people asking you questions. Other than that I enjoyed dancing
Good vibes, awesome decor, and a friendly bartender! Definitely a locals spot. Not sure why some folks are so upset about needing proof of vaccine. It’s a pandemic! The bar is fully within its rights to protect the health and safety of its staff and customers, and I’m personally glad they do.
