We went here for the 2nd time today. The waiter did not understand us and the food was lacking. My daughter's quesadilla order was wrong and my Torta(?) looked nothing like the picture. It was a sloppy mess. The worst part was the service. The waiter never checked in with us and I had to wave him down several times. We spent over an hour there mostly waiting on the darn waiter. When I was ready to pay my bill, I flagged him down to let him know, only to be told, "You pay up front, but I will just do it for you." Then he walked away with my card while I was trying to stop him. It was surreal, and I left NO TIP. I waited tables for 6 years, I have NEVER left nothing for servers before, it didn't feel good, but neither did our experience at this restaurant. I left my CC there... we realized this less than 10m after we left. When we came back, they couldnt find it. It was literally left at their front counter with my reciept.
Took my breath away! The food is sooooooooo good and didn’t have problems after I ate there. AfterOther places was not feeling good after their food. Recommend it!
Great Mexican! Great chips! Very authentic (still American-influenced because, hey, that's who they cater to) cooking that I remember from my childhood. Not boujie, heavily americanized Mexican food like some places. You walk in, and it just smells like great Mexican cuisine. ? Good menu selections. Good prices. Delicious food! Will be back!
Though they were busy and had several people waiting to be seated, they got us seated quickly, took our orders quickly and we were surprised how fast the meals came out. Both were delicious and well prepared. We recommend this restaurant.
Had 2 margaritas and they were both different in flavors. Had to ask for bean dip twice. Server never asked if our dinner was satisfactory. Carnitas had a lot of fat. Never received a bill. Had to request it from the cashier with no apology. Will not go back.
The atmosphere is spectacular and so quaint, sweet and comfortable but everything else suffered. The service was discontinued and our food was what I’d call a “hot mess”. The presentation was okay, overcooked and then also undercooked on both of our meals, the dish I ordered wasn’t per the menu and the rice was undercooked and tough. The taquitos were greasy and boring (just chicken and no cheese). The food overall is sub par and lacked flavor honestly.
I love this restaurant. The food and drinks were always great until COVID-19 hit. They started using inferior Tequila and orange liqueur. Service is very good. Martin is a very courteous server and love him. Our group will always go to this restaurant.
I've been eating here since for over 15 years and I am literally NEVER disappointed. Great service, familiar faces and AMAZING food. Always fresh, always delish.
Amazing food and great service
Great place, good food. With pandemic where in pretty much all restaurants suffer with low stuff and wait time for food is longer, la Carreta has no problem what so ever. We were greed right away with chips and salsa. Food.and drinks followed up quick. Fajitas.are amazing
