Great service! We went with a friend who has celiac disease (legit - her situation is serious) and our server and the dining room assistant both took the matter seriously and demonstrated patience and friendliness as we double-checked everything.
quite pricey but absolutely delicious! even the cocktails were excellent. very casual vibe. lobster roll was perfect, oyster Bienville new to me and we all loved them. turbot not common, they prepared simply and the fish really shone through. shrimp salad straightforward with freshest of ingredients. not a single thing to object to in entire meal. our server, Jess, went above and beyond. we had a wonderful meal.
Had a wonderful time, thanks to our server Heather and, of course, the food!Known for their oysters, had the Bienville version and raw; simply delicious! The main courses (Diver scallops and Spanish Turbot), were great(minor quibble; drop the roast potatoes and go with fresh vegetables like asparagus or even puréed squash).Again, terrific night out in Asheville!
Absolutely terrific. My wife and I come from Long Island, so we know our seafood. The mussels were amazing, a meal in themselves. My wife loved her octopus. I had fish and chips better than what I had in England. Friendly staff, great service. 10/10!
Amazing Service by Ed and a fabulous seafood tower. Such a great night! The oysters were amazing! If you are wanting seafood and a fun atmosphere, go to Jettie Rae’s!
Casual restaurant serving excellent fish. Jess was our server, she was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Clam strips were the best we’ve eaten, diver scallops and the shrimp and lobster roll were excellent. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Make reservations; otherwise, you may not get a seat.
Excellent service. Our server, Ed, was wonderful -very personable & efficient, he is very good at his work. The food was super. Fresh oysters on the half were lip smacking good. I had the crispy duck leg, shrimp & andouille gumbo that was delish. Hubby had scallops on polenta that was also excellent. Small parking lot but found some nearby. Highly recommend
Asheville is a great restaurant town, but Jettie Rae’s is definitely my consistent favorite. It starts with the casual but professional atmosphere and vibe. It’s just a comfortable place. We especially like the patio. But of course the food is what it’s about. On my most recent visit my flounder on a bed of succotash almost transcended description. The flounder was so fresh, hot, tender and perfectly presented I ate it as slowly as possible. I didn’t want it to be over. It couldn’t have tasted better if had come right off the boat on the coast. And their version of succotash, well it needs a new name. I wanted to lick my plate it was so good. The guy at the next table was eating the soft shell crab and I wanted to get a second entree it looked so good (and he confirmed). I broke my own keto rule and ordered the chocolate brownie sundae for dessert and it was worth the carbs. Make a reservation, this place is worth it. And Uber if you come during prime time as the parking is tight. But just go to Jettie Rae’s. You can thank me later.
Great early evening dinner at Jettie Rae’s. Had the seafood tower and clams. Delish. Good local beers and Ed was fun and informative.
We enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. We had a few nice cocktails to start. We shared a few appetizers: daily ceviche which we liked; gambas al ajillo: we really liked the shrimp but didn’t taste too much of the ajillo flavor. My wife had a few oysters which she said were good and I like the beef tartare I had. For main course my wife had the scallops which she said were good and I had the crab rice which was good too. The covered patio can be a bit problematic. When the heater is on, it’s really hot, when off not so much. I was seated with my back to patio edge which was quite drafty. Overall we enjoyed our dining experience and would go back.
