I love this place and the vibe. Perfect for catching up with a friend or getting some work done. This week Anisa made my latte and as usual it was great! I appreciate a place that still caters to locals and hires people who are friendly and know how to make a drink correctly. One of my favorite spots for sure, 10/10.
Anisa is a great barista and their ability to handle giant lines of demanding customers should be fully applauded. The coffee and bagels are what initially brought me in, Anisa is why my wife and I have a regular weekend visit! Sweet service, delicious coffee and the art is always incredible and interesting. Thank you for brightening every weekend for us!!
Had a really bad experience. Anisa who helped us was really rude and seemed like she had something against us. We asked about one of the specialty drinks because it was our first time visiting. She said to my boyfriend in a rude tone “well I can’t make the decision for you” Then she made our drinks after the people behind us and then when we got our drinks she came up and said “are you waiting on something else??” in a tone that made us want to leave. It was very uncomfortable. We tried to be very friendly but we aren’t sure why we were treated so poorly. The coffee was good and atmosphere was chill but service was AWFUL.
Golden milk latte with different but delicious. Great place to study as there is a padded bench to sit. One lady working today and she is killing it!!! So nice and amazingly quick making orders.
I love this Coffee House! I frequent this establishment and have for many years. This is one of the best stops on the West side! All of the Baristas are absolutely amazing. Anisa has given me one of the tastiest lattes I have had. She has great customer service and is very sweet. Any one visiting the area and want a great coffee beverage head over to West and check them out! ??
Best coffee shop on the west side! Anisa is always so friendly and engaging and I really appreciate how assertive she is with masks and following the county mandate. Makes me feel confident that Izzy’s prioritizes the safety of my community.
Izzys is the best! Awesome coffee and treats with vegan and vegetarian options. Anisa is so sweet and always puts extra care into the drinks and comes up with cool delicious flavors! Love them ?
Love their coffee, love the art, love the food. I’ve been coming here for years, friendly with the staff especially Tina! However like many other posts on here I was extremely disappointed to hear one of the long time crew Anissa brag about verbally abusing someone for not wearing a mask, inciting a group of people against this person, and then threatening them with physical violence. I thought the point of a mask was to protect Eachother. Gonna take a break from Izzy’s for a bit hopefully they calm down.
Great coffee, too bad about the unfriendly folks who work there. I've gone there for years because of the excellent coffee, but I've been amazed at how terrible the service has always been. I've seen smiling happy people come up to the counter, and leave scowling, grumbling and vowing to never come back. I've apologized for it on a number of occasions, telling folks that most places in Asheville have much nicer staff. And that is true. It used to be a joke about how bad the service is in this tourist town,. However, in the last few years, t seems a number of places have realized that its better for their business to treat the folks who spend their money there at least civilly, if not kindly. I remember sitting at a table and seeing several folks in a row be mistreated, and then one of the owners came in, and the young woman who was behind the counter suddenly started smiling and being very friendly to the customers who came up to the counter. So, it is possible to be decent, but only if supervised. Its a shame. I'm done, Odd's Cafe up the street is so much nicer, and I'll miss the Blanchard's beans that Izzy's brews, but its not worth it to go there anymore. Sad.
Good coffee options, plenty of seating, chill vibes
