As an AVL local you always want a new restaurant to add to our existing culture and Huli Sue is an amazing and welcomed unique addition from the delicious food, amazing drinks and most importantly the fantastic service. Every time I’ve been, including with family, everyone treat us like family especially coming in with an immunocompromised parent they accommodate us to feel safe. Robbie and Lisa in particular go above and beyond and just adds to the amazing vibe here though they are all truly a team here. The jalapeño cheddar cornbread, their lemongrass Caesar salad and their Coconut Cake are musts when you visit but you truly can’t go wrong with anything you order and as someone who has been to Hawaii the flavors are spot on while adding that southern twist. You need to get you some Huli Sue!!!

Cool little fusion spot doing Hawaiian-style BBQ and American cuisine. The location was fun. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, all dressed in island-appropriate wear. Drinks were good, if not terribly unique.But the food; the food was fantastic. No matter what you order, get a piece of the cornbread. It's not traditional, southern cornbread by any measure, but man is it good. You won't regret it.

What a gem of a restaurant! Friendly staff and creative menu. The flavors were amazing! We enjoyed a fish taco bowl and a pulled pork sandwich. Loved the dill in the cole slaw! The mustardy BBQ sauce was to die for- bought a bottle to go!
We are the pickiest eaters. We have good reason since my husband is a dynamite cook! Lisa (the owner) is simply awesome! She suggested I have the pork Katsu and it was perfect! Exactly what I was looking for after a long car ride. My husband really liked his poke bowl. He devoured a piece of corn bread that they packed up for us to go. He said it was the best corn bread he has ever had. Our server (Kailee) it’s pronounced like Ki Lee was the sweetest, all smiles and friendly. Love seeing people enjoying what they do. Thank you to all that made our evening memorable!
The wife loved her dish, had the chicken bowl. She then ordered a piece of coconut cream the size of Ohio. I had the brisket which was tender and all of our food was delicious. However if you are looking traditional HI food it did not foot the bill
Food was fresh and amazing. I got the fish tacos and might be the best in Asheville. The pineapple upside down cake was delicious. Service was wonderful and loved atmosphere. Will be back soon
Cute ambiance, food was absolutely amazing! Garlic shrimp were fresh and super tasty. The chicken wings and brisket tacos were off the charts good. Everything was clean and the staff were very nice and service was incredible. My new favorite place downtown!
