The furniture was scuffed and stained as well as the carpets. Bathroom was in bad shape, looks as though there may be mold. Never again! I feel every surface is dirty and I am constantly washing my hands.
We spent several days at this hotel in Asheville. The staff of Jessica and Sam were wonderful. Jessica helped us with restaurants and recommended a restaurant inside the bohemian hotel by the biltmore. It was such a fabulous place and great place to walk around. The Biktmore grounds is across the street if you so desire. She was great about local downtown restaurants too like strada! Sam I think is the manager as she was on top of our comfort while staying there and ensuring our stay met our expectations. These front of hotel staff were always welcoming on our comings and goings. We had a dog with us and they welcomed her with the red carpet. Such a great stay! Now for our STAR Molly!! GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY we called her. She was fabulous. She works the front of the hotel and the bar. We had fun with her and watching her with others she treats everyone the same as though she’s known them for years. She is a true asset to the hotel. We hung out w her every night but one only because she had the day off. She learned how to make a late night flat bread with no cook around real quick even without burning it!! She’s the best. Thank you all!
Nice building and conveniently located downtown. Whole Foods market about 1/2 mile away. Good news/bad news: hotel allows pets which is good for pet owners, but bad for humans who don’t appreciate the smell of wet dog. Our room smelled like a kennel.
Molly, Molly, Molly! Tonight was truly the best customer service I’ve ever had. She was absolutely phenomenal and made our quick one night stay at the IGH truly the best experience. We will definitely be staying here every single time we visit Asheville!
Hotel Indigo saved me and my cat from not having housing. ❤️ THANK YOU. We were notified two days before that I could not move into the home I signed and we needed to find emergency housing for my cat and I. They are one of the few hotels I could find in downtown Asheville last minute in-season who accept cats. Only bad thing is that because it is next to the highway, my cat is terrified of the loud freeway, car, and motorcycle noise. My cat has been hiding under the chair for two days. I would not stay here for an extended stay with my cat for this reason, but it was exactly what I needed in this emergency situation. There are lots of spaces to place the litterbox. Don’t forget a sponge and soap for cleaning their bowls like I did. There’s a pet store right down the street also. They charge $75 per fee per stay which is reasonable.Beautiful rooms and design that feels homey while chic. Affordable. I love the alarm clock with USB ports and want to order one for myself since I like to turn my phone off at night. Also I love the sustainable/ ecological details such as the glass water jars they allow you to refill for free and hallways that have automatic lights that turn on when you walk by.EDIT: knocked off a star after being here a few days. The water is kinda cold and I’ve taken two showers like this. Also there’s no pool nor rooftop, which my local Hotel Indigo has in SWFL. This one does not which is a major bummer.
I planned a surprise 39th wedding anniversary trip for my wonderful wife to Asheville and to Hotel Indigo in particular. I had never stayed at this hotel but the pictures and location sounded perfect. I was so wrong! The location is close to downtown Asheville but right next to a busy interstate. The room had an outdoor porch but we would never use it because of the noise. Check in was seamless and we headed up to our penthouse room. The space was large, but it needed a lot of love. The web pictures must have been taken when it was brand new because reality was far different. Walls needed painting, wooden furniture was splitting on top due to past moisture problems, and what put us over the edge was a filthy couch with big stain marks. We called the front desk about the couch and they sent up the housekeeping manager. She examined the stains and said they tried to get out the stains but could not. Their solution was to put a sheet over the couch. I was humiliated. I wanted this to be such a good surprise for my wife and it was awful. We checked out immediately. We were not charged for our $1, 800 room (yes for 3 nights, that is what I would have paid!) When we left we spoke to an employee and they said the hotel was “gross”! We stayed at the Doubletree one block away and had a fabulous time for HALF THE PRICE! We had a suite with nicer and up to date furnishings. Shame on the management of Hotel Indigo. The maintenance of their penthouse has been long ignored because the problems we saw were old. Obviously, we won’t go there again.
This hotel was an awesome pick. The location is great- close to downtown Asheville where you can find so much to do. They are pet-friendly (which my two dogs appreciated) and their service was amazing. The hotel parking is valet only; self park would have to be elsewhere. Definitely recommend this hotel!
The best thing about the hotel was that is was kind of close to the downtown shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, the room wasn’t as expected (we tried 2 rooms) neither had “breathtaking” views of the mountains as they mention on their website. The view from the first room was of telephone wires and the Highway. The view of the second room was brick walls, construction and wires. The staff at first seemed friendly until we asked them for recommendations on which places to visit. Each time we would ask a different staff member for recommendations they never actually gave us specific places to go. When we asked if there were any 4th of July festivities going on we were told that they don’t celebrate 4th of July in Asheville. There was never an actual concierge on site, which is contradictory to what their website said and that is the reason we chose this $250/night hotel. On the last day we mentioned our disappointment to the front desk but they looked at us like they didn’t know what we were talking about. No apology. I even emailed this hotel twice and never received a response. This was my first and last stay at a Hotel Indigo.
This has been one of my favorite Hotel Indigo’s I’ve stayed in. The view is amazing. My husband stayed here the night we got married on our way back home to Florida. The room was huge and the bathroom had a big walk-in shower. I wanted to stay in bed all day and just look at the mountains. The location is good but there are not a lot of places to eat in the area. Over all it was great!
Nice and quite place right stay
