My sister recommended this place on our quick trip to Asheville. We parked at the doughnut shop about 30 minutes before they opened so we could be the first in line. About 10 minutes to opening, the owner stepped outside and approached our vehicle asking if we had already placed an order. Well, we didn't realize that we had to order online and she said she was fully booked until 9:30! She was so sweet though and asked us what we wanted and she'd put our order in her first batch of the day. When we received our order and drove away, I saw she gave us an extra doughnut. How nice! We loved our vanilla glazed and cinnamon doughnuts so much. They are slightly crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. The best doughnuts we ever had. Please stop here if you are ever in Asheville. You won't regret it!
Went here because of other great reviews. Disappointed because you could not go in, had a choice of 2 donuts and had to order using a QR code.
Heard these were the best doughnuts around. They were good, and unique, but not the best I’ve ever had, as much as I liked them. Placing an order via an app was a bit ludicrous when standing outside the door, though the lady bringing them out was lovely and welcoming. Just seems weird and self-indulgent to not allow you to even speak to anyone inside. Ordered a single special doughnut via this app - but didn’t get it. The downfall of such a system! Overall, decent, but I wouldn’t drive out of my way again to get there.
One of the best donuts I’ve ever had. A little weird not going in and ordering. Had to scan a code and order outside and they brought them to you when done. Probably could’ve used someone outside during peak time to give a more warm welcome and understanding of the process. We stood there for a minute and caught on. With all that said still a fantastic donut and coffee. Will return when in town.
My wife and I were out and about on a Sunday morning. We had heard Hole was great and thought we’d have a doughnut and coffee. When we walked up to the shop we discovered they were still milking the pandemic protocols hardcore. Fine, we’ll play along. However the online ordering interface is terrible. We bailed after 5 minutes. No doughnut is worth all that crap. Hole, I personally will never wait 30 minutes for a coffee and doughnut outside on the street, I don’t care how good the doughnut is. Good luck!
Ridiculous ongoing Covid procedures and you can’t even walk into the building. Have to order through an app that doesn’t work. We gave up and left.
Super fresh, fried to order! It’s take out only which we didn’t know, but you order online and the donuts were out lightning fast. Great, friendly service and the donuts are out of this world. They’re light and airy, not the sugar laden gut bombs that are so prevalent these days. I wish we lived closer! These top the list of my favorite donuts ever!
Really yummy classic doughnuts! I didn't get a picture of them because they were hot and fresh, too good to wait! There weren't a lot of options with the doughnut flavors but personally I prefer the more basic ones anyway. The cinnamon sugar was my favorite! It had an amazing hint of salt that took it to the next level. Definitely worth a visit!
One bite of a cinnamon sugar doughnut was like a magic wand—I was instantly age regressed to a 5-year-old squirt with a fresh buttery slice of cinnamon toast, only better, because…doughnuts. I would eat them every single day if given the opportunity. So…SO good!!!
Hot fresh deliciousness. Some unique flavors (seasme, orange Provence or classics). Incredibly friendly service. I don't know her name but she knows mine. Treats everyone like a best friend. The world needs more Hole Donuts.
