Went to fatz cafe today for lunch. Service was great. The food was horrible. The shrimp and chicken were way over cooked. The shrimp had a nasty after taste. It was the worst food I have every at fatz cafe. I knew that the food had gone down hill lately but this time it was disgusting. We will never eat there again.
We came in and greeted by the host who was wearing his ball cap backwards (slim shady style) He walked us to our seat and placed menu/silver wear down in pile on table then walked away didn't say anything no.."your waitress will be here " my husband said thank you to him and he just kept walking. Waitress shows up and she was wonderful . Food was over cooked and that is something we experienced last time we ate here. This restuarant needs a manager that cares about how customers are treated, establish some sort of dress code, and supervise food leaving the kitchen. It used to be great
I highly recommend Fatz! If you can get there "early", closer to 4 than 5 or 5:30 pm, it's a huge win!! The staff is fresh, the crowd is non existent and your service is so much better! Kudos to Mel on Smoky Park Hwy, Fatz . She was very nice and attentive to our needs. I had the chicken and shrimp with tater tots and the men had the shrimp and grits. It was all VERY GOOD! Their little rolls were delish!
I took my grandson's Nana for her birthday dessert. She got a brownie first and it was not done. The waitress said that is how they come. She showed the waitress that it was not gooie but it was not fully cooked. She apologized and offered to get her something else. She asked for the peach coobler. We were all speechless when she brought it to the table. It looked like dog food. You can see from the picture that does not in anyway resemble peach cobbler. It was absolutely awful. We were very disappointed and knowing there were 4 of us at the table and noone was pleased with their dessert we were given the bill without the waitress offering to get management. I could have raised a stink but just paid the bill, took a picture and vowed not to go back. That was the worse dessert I ever had and I have had many from numerous restaurants in numerous states and numerous countries. I gave it one star because it would not allow me to give it zero.
My meal was good. My wife's fish dinner was cold and dried out. The server was very good and did her best to correct the issue including offering a refund. All I wanted was for management to be aware of the problem. Keep in mind that the restaurant industry is suffering shortages of employees. That said I will give them another chance.
Food was very good. The club sandwich was huge! It came with fries that were made just as I asked them to be. Our waitress,Summer,was friendly, knowledgeable and took great care of us. Can't wait to go back for lunch soon.
What a nice restaurant! We sat outside to enjoy a cocktail and enjoy the beautiful weather. Our server, Morgan was beyond nice and you could tell she enjoys her job. The food was delicious!
We went to Fatz Cafe in Franklin for Mother's Day. First let me say the food was great. But what threw me was they had charged for every thing I had ordered. My steak I understand. But it suppose to come with 2 sides. Which I got sweet potato, broccoli, side salad and shrimp. My husband ordered off the mothers day menu. I didn't because it was all fried foods. Okay we get our bill. Mine alone was over 30.00. His was around 20.00 total bill over 50.00. They did redo the price of the salad which was 1.99.but why charge for each item. Did I miss something???
I used to love this restaurant when I lived in Marion and one was down there ( I don’t think it’s open anymore). I noticed this one when we were passing by last month and got so excited. The food was good and staff were fine. I do think they need more help or maybe limit their hours with the staff they have so the wait times aren’t as long. It was our servers first day and she did okay so hopefully they are getting more help.I think the restaurant itself could use a little updating to be honest. It seemed really dark and sad inside…. It’s hard to explain but somewhat outdated maybe? I’d probably just get food to go next time since the dark steakhouse restaurant vibe depresses me now.
Chicken fried steak with some nasty gravy. Waitress acted like she did know anything. The Rum punch was weak. Totally different staff years ago so sad.
