Even after visiting weekly for over two years, The Tavern is still calling me back for a literal ice cold beer! Best neighborhood bar in the city.
Best food quality in Asheville. Great staff, and a very chill atmosphere. I HIGHLY recommend. Just make sure you always have your ID and make sure you sign in their computer system upon showing up.
This is your "chill" place! Food is phenomenal. Staff is wonderful. Owner will dance table side if you ask. LoLCheck out yer new livingroom!!! ????
Place needs to be shut down. A horrible violence ridden place in a nice neighborhood. Gun violence and assaults are the norm here. A man and his wife were assaulted last weekend. Not a good place and if you’re not local look out you’re most definitely a target.
The Fairveiw Tavern is one of those neighborhood bars that seem to be dissolving in the diluted New Asheville experience. If you would like a “scooby snack” or a “blue crack” or some other dumb college freshman drink, maybe go find some other dumb bar in Asheville to drink at… you shouldn’t have a hard time. Good service, easy vibe, 3 pool tables, about a million dart boards. The food is really good for bar food. “The Tavern” has a tight, small menu with some usual suspects with their own Tavern twist. Nice porch. Nice big back yard with disc golf putting opportunities.
Nasty place. Almost empty besides a few miserably drunk old people. Place is known for violence and several shootings.. I live in the neighborhood and won’t go there.
My first visit here was pretty laid back and a nice atmosphere the bartender was extremely friendly and super helpful for as busy as it was
