Dinner for 1 was way more then enough. House Margarita was good, for house. The 3 Mexican Tacos with salsa de Verde was exactly what I wanted. The restaurant is located right off the exit with plenty of parking. But the parking lot is usually full.. this should tell you something! Enjoy
They are very nice and quick. I just wish they would tell you before you order that they charge an extra fee for each order that is take out / delivery. So if you order a big order let's say three people split the ticket then they charge you the extra charge three times not cool but understandable if told ahead of time.
El Chapala Meican Restaurant is our go-to for good, authentic Mexican food. The staff, waiters, and waitresses always makes us feel welcome, and are very friendly.

My husband and I been at Mexican restaurants in California, Arizona, Nevada as well as East Coast states, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Myrtle Beach and all over N.C.Never found a better place to eat!Great place for parties and celebrations! The only place my grandchildren will go for their birthdays.Best food, best service, wonderful environment.
I’ve been coming here for over 15 years and I love it. Start is friendly, food is amazing. They recently catered for a a birthday party for me. Great prices and the food was great. 100% recommend
I go there everytime I am in the Asheville area. They have the best Mexican food and margaritas ? Hands down!!!
We went on a Wednesday night and there was a line out of the door. After the experience, I don't see how or why they get that much business. ? I was already apprehensive about the establishment to begin with; so I just ordered chicken tacos, rice and beans. Taste was very bland. And to add insult to injury, my taco plate was FLOODED in the juice from the meat. Other plate with the rice was dried out and crispy. But our server was a cool dude and the drinks were cheap at least! That's the only thing I would come back for.
Great location just off the Interstate. Parking lot was packed, so we thought that we would try it. Really good Mexican food with great portions !
This place is our absolute favorite! We gobble it up too fast to take photos. They work around my gluten allergy by grilling the chicken, using a corn tortilla and burritos sauce instead of enchilada. I appreciate this place so much! Always super friendly and fast.
