Yum! Cute lil brunch spot. We sat outside and it was so enjoyable. The atmosphere both inside and on the patio was great. I don’t remember our servers name, but she was so efficient and friendly! Something for everyone here. And, it looks like they’re huge on supporting local farmers. We’d love to go back!

The picture doesn't do the flavor of this justice. The spinach and potato cakes were awesome! We got a side of the habanero sweet potato sauce with it, which on its own was really hot, but when put onto a bite of the food elevated it immensely. This isn't something I'd usually order, but I was wanting to try something different and I couldn't have been more satisfied.

Grits were dry as a bone and chunky. I’d rather have instant grits. Waffle was also dry and flavorless. Wife had spinach and potato cake that she enjoyed. She also enjoyed the rise and shine drink. I suppose you just have to order the right stuff.

Love this little gem of a restaurant. Service was great and the food was AMAZING. Tasted like my grandma made it. We will definitely be back.

Interesting take on breakfast. Overall food was good. They had mimosa flights and bloody Marys that looked good but 9:30 was a bit early. Our server was fun and we got seated in 15 minutes on a Sunday morning. It would be 5 stars but for the $$$. If you're looking for a boozy breakfast I'd recommend but bring your large wallet ?

Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram at SNDTRAVELS and EATWELLTRAVELOFTEN.Simple eatery that touts local foods. I had the two eggs meal. Come with toast and either grits or home fries. I got the home fries, which are not fries at all but quartered and roasted new potatoes with seasoning. Not bad. The two eggs were very petite but good. I ordered crispy bacon, which was nowhere near crispy, but the flavor of the bacon was good. I would have sent it back, but the service was slow and disinterested, and I didn't want to wait. Overall, it is a limited menu cafe that was just average and not worth the prices. Not recommended for the price.two thumbs down ??

Told by the hostess 1 hour to 1 and 1/2 hour wait! Meanwhile, there are 3 huge booths EMPTY as well as 2 tables EMPTY. When I asked why there is a 1 to 1 and 1/2 hour wait, hostess says there’s a long list of people in front of us and they give them 10 minutes of arrival time. Meanwhile, these booths are empty. But we are waiting out front. A half hour goes by. I walk in again to ask how much longer and guess what? Sme empty booths, same story. Made no sense. Why empty tables and booths, a party of 6 waiting for over 40 minutes and STILL EMPTY TABLES AND BOOTHS, same story FROM THE HOSTESS. When I ask again, I hear a snide disrespectful comment from the hostess’s colleague “hey, have you never been to a restaurant before?” UNBELIEVABLE. Finally we get seated. Service was good, food was ehhh… nothing great. Not worth waiting with such unprofessional employees who have no clue how to efficiently run a seating system. Empty tables but “oh, we have an hour to an hour and a half wait”. Yeah, no kidding. With people who don’t know what they’re doing no wonder. Owner: I highly recommend you find some way to train these employees. Your table turnover and resulting customer service and ROI could be much greater. The bill was $200 for 6 adults by the way.

If you have some dietary restrictions (we are gluten free, vegetarian, no onion, no garlic, mostly organic), then this menu has plenty to offer! If you have a less restrictive diet it has even more. The service was terrific, and from several people flowing in to and out from our table. The food was very good. We are excited to have found a new home! The spinach cakes with herb gravy is fantastic!

It was not a good service at South Asheville. We were truly disappointed. Food was good but we were terribly disappointed with the service.

We're locals and we love Early Girl! Always excellent food and excellent service. Our servers today, Mallory and Bonnie were super friendly and provided awesome service! The mimosa flights were amazing!Bow to the King and Poutine!
