We came for brunch and had an amazing time. Ja’ Nyra was our server and she went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time! She was extremely helpful explaining the menu and offering recommendations! The food was delicious and we will definitely be back!

JJ was the best server we have ever had at any restaurant!!! She is bright and bubbly!!! Her recommendations were outstanding!!! We will come back because of her!!!

Best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Everything was amazing! Definitely check this place out while you’re in Asheville.

Early Girl Eatery has some good ideas but the execution was lacking. My "Pulled Pork" sandwich was more shredded than pulled; no chunks of meat that I would expect. Also, it was swimming in sauce. The sauce had a good flavor but I would like to have tasted the pork as well. The vegetable medley was better; nice variety of veggies. It was a bit oily but I enjoyed it. Jan's salad was better; lots of fresh greens with nuts, feta cheese etc. The grilled chicken on it was not so good; overcooked (ahead of time I think, and warmed up for serving), it was dry and had little flavor. Service was excellent and the dining room was very clean. Bathroom was not.

The Charleston Chicken Biscuit was delicious and crunchy! Love the stone ground corn grits too!

The first Tuesday in June my wife and decided to try a late lunch at the Early Girl Eatery on Hendersonville Road. We have eaten several times at the Wall Street location, but the South Asheville location is more convenient for us. All appeared to be normal when we got there. We were quickly seated and our server was pleasant and efficient. We ordered drinks and two regular menu items. I chose the Fish and Chips plate. Our food arrived fairly quickly, but, my fish and my chips were almost black. I understand that really fresh chips can look a bit dark when they are actually perfect. Since I am prone to give the benefit of the doubt to a good establishment, like Early Girl Eatery, I dove into my meal. I should have sent my plate back. The fish was almost burned, and the breading was almost black. The chef should have seen this instantly. I kept digging through the generous pieces of fish for a few bites that were not over-cooked, but I found none. Mia culpa - I should have complained on the spot, but again, that is not my nature. We paid and left. I might go back, but if I do, I will be more demanding and will question the server about how the food will be cooked and inspected before it is served.

So, two of our four loved their breakfast. The other two felt it was average. It was very crowed so they must be doing something right. We were taken to the cold, crowded back room so that was not the best. One at our table loved the biscuits.

Quick and friendly service. The food was very good and flavorful. The dish with the pulled pork was on point! I wound definitely return and recommend!

My wife and I loved finding this restaurant in our trip to Asheville. The food was wonderful, and the sever we had was very friendly and pleasant. We will be back!

Came here, on a Tuesday morning in April, based on a recommendation from a friend. We got an outdoor table immediately and each got a different item, one of which was on the sweeter side, and the other a bit more savory. Outside of maybe some overcooked home fries, we liked our dishes. The coffee, which came from a local roastery was flavorful and fresh, if not a bit strong. Our service was friendly and helpful, and the portions were decent.
