I went to get our sons birthday cake and had to wait awhile to get it. When I came home my wife asked me if this was the cake I ordered because it was awful. It was a plain 10 in cake with incredibly embarrassing hand writing on it. And not at all what we ordered. To say I was furious was an understatement. I then called the store and asked for the manager... it took them almost 10 full minutes to get her because she was in the bathroom apparently. When she got on the phone I told her I was frustrated and asked her what went wrong with my order. Sensing my upset off tone, she herself started literally yelling at me! I I cant believe the horrible service we received and will never go to DQ ever again. And will be sharing this horror story for years.
I have never had a good experience at this DQ so we really don’t go but my son wanted ice cream on his birthday so we went. We went to DQ on Smokey park and the guy who took our order in drive through was super rude. He had an attitude and acted like us coming through was a bother. We finished our order and was waiting for a total but it was just silence. So my husband said “that will be all” and the guy said “I got it come around” with an attitude of course. We pulled around and he told us the total so my husband gave him the money but had to get the change that we owed before my husband could give him the change the guy slam the drive-through window.
This was the worst experience I've ever had at a DQ. We waited 20 minutes for food and after that decided to order ice cream before we were even done with the food because we figured it would take a while. At 5:30 we ordered are ice cream and by 6 we were still waiting and ultimately just decided to leave. Didn't even ask for a refund because we didn't have another half hour to wait. I wouldn't suggest going here unless you have 2 hours to kill. The works looked miserable and one of them was curled up in a ball in the corner booth on her phone while one took 2 smoke breaks in a matter of 20 minutes. Do not waste ur time going here.
When I pulled up to the front of the place I saw somebody standing by the door with a headset on, smoking. Another was sitting in a booth. Got t the counter and was told the grill was closed and looked and the ice cream machine was pulled and clean. I would expect this at 9:30, but it was 7:15. The door said they were open till 10. Needless to say, I didn't get any food.
OK if you remember the Dairy Queen of old the new remember how great their ice cream used to be. I got A banana split they had no cherries for for the top and I can't eat strawberries. So I asked for extra pineapple I got a little bit of pineapple a little bit of chocolate but not much. The girl handed it to me through the window the window with no top to seal it and no back to put it in. Of course I asked her for a top to put on it.. Now I must ask ask how can you give someone ice cream through a Drop in window when there are very little parking spaces outside? And then you leave leave the top off. Apparently if you're going through a drop through then you are taking it home.. And to be honest I didn't think the girl Waiting on me was very nice.
We love Dairy Queen ice cream cakes and that’s really been the only thing we’ve gotten from a DQ in years. But the other day I was telling my kiddo about how, when I was a little, they served their blizzards upside down and one day I got one and thought it was so cool that i save sit to take home and show my dad. I flipped it upside down and it went all over the kitchen floor. Lol. Duh. Fun trick but you can only do it quick!Gluten free tip…. Heath bar and other flavors are gluten free. If it’s the yummy ice cream cake you want, pick a gf flavor and have them hold those crispy things out. They’ve been quite accommodating.
Great food at affordable prices !! Great customer service ! New manager has it going in the right direction and the cook was on top of it!! I will be a returning customer!!
I want to give this DQ a good rating. This restaurant doesn’t follow health guidelines and also eating on the floor while serving you is very unprofessional. On top of it they were not busy at well and they were kids, two girls and I asked them a simple meal. Remind you I literally had no one behind me. And they mest up my order. I didn’t go at it with them. Because I understand the line of work that has to be done. But they didn’t care about their job and they surly didn’t take the job professionally. Either you eat or work. But eating while on the floor questions me if they even get a break… because these kids sure don’t deserve to have a job if they don’t do the work seriously. This event happen at 01-17-22 around 5-6 pm. Health inspector or not. This was a violation of many health conducts
I waited 20 minutes for just a sandwich and a large fries, the people at the front were dancing and using slang the whole time. I mentioned I am on a time crunch and that I would like a refund. All 4 people that were up front did not know how to do that. My Worst experience with fast food happened here.
Such a bummer to be writing this review. I love DQ. It's my favorite fast food chain. Unfortunately, this is the only one in Asheville. I've been here about 4 times and all times have not been so good. Staff have been rude and mopey and orders haven't been accurate. This time I drove over at 9:30pm to head the drive through, and they wouldn't take my order because they said they were closed. The hours on the online profile and on door say 10pm. It really bummed me out. I wish Asheville had a DQ in town that was reliable and consistent.
