Very nice service. Food is very good, large portions. Thank you very much.
Food is fantastic and the staff are nice and attentive. We come here about once a week and they never disappoint. Had one bad food experience but they took care of it and then some.
We were struggling On a Saturday night to find a restaurant with capacity for us. Tripped on this place in East Asheville. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the atmosphere and waitstaff were great.
The service is solid, but the food is rather bland. The sauces and oatmeal taste watery, the seasoning is weak, and the fried chicken has the texture of boiled chicken. This place is souless and mediocre at best.
Been here a few years back and enjoyed the food - it was not brilliant but it was good and service was reliable. No change this time, food was still good and service still reliable and quick
Found Cornerstone on line and it had good reviews. We're here just for a few days so we relied on the reviews. We decided to give it a try. Well worth the visit. The prices are fair and the portions are nice. We had the fried pickles for an appetizer, what's not to like? I asked for a side of BBQ sauce for them. We had barely started on the fried pickles and here comes our server with the BBQ sauce! I ordered the lasagna. It came with a side salad and the salad was cold, fresh, and not soggy. I couldn't eat all the lasagna. It was fresh, the sauce was well balanced, the ground beef was seasoned well. It may have been just a tad on the salty side but restaurants are known for that, so I'm not knocking them for it. My wife ordered a Cobb salad and they were generous with the veggies and meat. The place was crowded, that's a good sign. We were given a booth but it didn't have the padded seats. I can't sit on hard wood, so we requested a booth with the padded seats and Jesse Mae went and checked and found us a booth. She was very friendly and took great care of us. I asked for red pepper flakes and was told they didn't have any. A few minutes later a different server came by our table and said "Surprise! We actually have red pepper flakes! I brought them from the kitchen for you." It was a very nice night out and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service.
We were here on a Wednesday morning. It is a good sized place so we were seated promptly. My wife loved the home fries but the corned beef hash was very salty. My eggs and pancakes were good. I found the sausage to have a flavor that was a bit strong. Service was good. Helpings were generous, so it would be good for teenagers.
My first time with friends who come often. Our meals were very good. Very disappointed with the cost of our drinks. Meals were reasonable but who would expect to pay $14 a piece for a margharita!?? Almost as much as a meal.
I have little good to say. I've been pushing my wife to try this busy restaurant for months since moving here. I'm sorry for it.The cocktails today were the highlight. Spending over $80 for food alone we were so disappointed. The pimento n bacon had zero taste. Dumping hot sauce on it was a drastic improvement. The crab Benedict was cooked incorrectly. We only shared our disappointment because we were asked, the offer was to bring out new eggs..... so we need to change the eggs at the table? And what about the hollandaise.... you guessed it, left for us to scrape it off the overcooked eggs.Meatloaf with Chipotle sauce was acceptable.
Breakfast was great and the portions are huge…will definitely be back as it is conveniently located right off of I-240.
