Our last taste before driving away from 3 nights in Asheville was here at the French Broad Chocolate Lounge. We had tried to go to their chocolate factory tour, but unfortunately, it was all booked up while we were in town...So the next best thing was to pop in here and have some chocolate. I had their signature sipping chocolate (Liquid Truffle) which is just as indulgent as it should have been. I also got a bar of their Dark Milk Chocolate. Dark Milk! It's the best of all chocolate worlds! (White chocolate doesn't count.) The space is clean and large. The staff is friendly. It's a great place to stock up in their premium chocolate offerings...and if you haven't had sipping chocolate (We're not talking about hot chocolate people...) then you really should give it a try.
Impressive variety of everything chocolate including baked goods, confectionary, ice cream and drinks. Would have indulged more but really expensive. Not sure about the value but I suppose you're also paying for the experience. Great location in the center of downtown Asheville so always busy. Prepare to wait in line if here on a weekend night.
Nice atmosphere inside and out. Drinking chocolate, desserts, and ice cream. Highly recommend for chocolate lovers visiting Asheville!
FB Chocolates are so good! I always enjoy the limited edition holiday and Mother's Day batches. Sitting outside and having a dessert is always nice too. The chocolate chips for making hot chocolate at home are good, except the rosemary orange is very rosemary forward.
Busy place with food tours entering often. Lovely chocolates. Cakes are big. Carrot cake was amazing but I missed having nuts in it. Maple cake was not as good. We came for the brûlée and we’re not disappointed! Smooth, creamy and chocolatey.
If you are a chocolate lover, definitely stop here. My husband and I ordered the chocolate mousse, the devil’s food cake and some bon bons for later. All were fantastic! The man that waited on us was attentive and patient with us and with other customers. A must see!
The chocolate was to die for! Absolutely delicious. Crème brûlée, cheesecake, and mousse were our desserts. So many choices. I will visit again when I am in Asheville.
I am not a big fan of chocolate ice cream, but this chocolatier has a delicious chocolate ice cream and the staff is very friendly too. They have some great merchandise and not far from there a chocolate factory tour.
Wow is this great chocolate. The liquid truffle is to die for. Everything is first rate. No wonder it is always crowded!!
Great spot in downtown Asheville for all things chocolate! Delicious chocolate crème brûlée, brownies, cookies, chocolates, even chocolate soaps!
