This is one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at in a long while. The chef is a total star. Thank you Brian Crow for an amazing meal. I never leave reviews! I hope Asheville can keep this gem of a chef!

The Service and Food was awesome!

Excellent dinner...service was over the top! Wine selection ???

Wow. The sesame crusted salmon was the best fish I’ve ever had. And then the blackberry pistachio trifle was awesome the first night and did not disappoint the second night.

My wife and I spent on night in Asheville earlier this week from out of town. She found Chestnut as a dinner option via a Google search -- what a great find! The experience was first rate from start to finish. Chestnut was busy. We were one of the final reservations in the evening. This is not a casual restaurant but a few patrons were dressed in shorts. Most were not. The ambiance was great and despite the seating to near capacity, the sound level was perfectly fine for routine conversation. Our server was friendly and attentive but not overly intrusive. The grilled peaches (in season) were deliciously complex with accompanying basil mascarpone, fig compote and pickled onions. This dish was creatively presented. My wife had the petit filet from the Medium Plate menu. I had the arroz con frijoles and was thrilled with this menu choice. The sea island peas were uniquely tasty and the smoked tofu was a perfect accompaniment. We enjoyed Chestnut immensely. We highly recommend it!

We did not have reservations but got a comfortable seat at the bar to eat dinner without waiting. The food was yummy and the service was great. I would recommend eating here while in Nashville.

We were promptly seated for our reservation. I had the barbacoa which was a Portuguese version of barbeque and was good. My wife had the shrimp and blue corn grits which was excellent. When it arrived with the bacon she asked to leave off, both Mackenzie our server, and Brad the manager had another prepared and at our table in 4 minutes. Now that's good service.

Very good food and the plus is gluten free selections. Our service was also lovely. So glad gluten free choices are prevalent in Asheville.

The vibe, the service, and the food were fabulous! Had the Garden Gnome cocktail and our server, Rachel, recommended an excellent Matchbook Petite Syrah wine which we enjoyed! Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Chestnut! as always!

Sat at the bar for some after dinner cocktails. My wife had the Jesspresso and I had an Old Fashioned. Great drinks and friendly and knowledgeable service. We really enjoyed the atmosphere as well. We will definitely be back to try dinner sometime.
