During my stay at the Inn, the tavern was the best food I had. My previous meals were served cold.

The potato-leek soup with soda bread was delicious! Yummy shepherds pie, too. We enjoyed sitting outside for lunch on the pretty patio. Very enjoyable experience!

We loved Cedric's Tavern! First time dining here and it surpassed our expectations! Menu had lots of choices. We loved our pretzel bread rolls and herbed butter! My chicken dish was excellent and my husband raved about his fish and chips. Malt vinegar was offered to add to this authentic dish. We will be back!

Cedric's is a favorite restaurant of ours at the Biltmore Estate. It did not live up to its past performance today. Arrived at 12:30 for a 12:45 reservation. Seated promptly. Nice Server. Order placed, etc. at 1:00 we were told food would be out shortly. At 1:10 still no food. At 1:15 food brought out by a manager who was apologetic. (no explanation). My husband's salmon was perfectly cooked. My roast beef sandwich was overcooked meat, and not as full of a sandwich as I was expecting. (by the way, the pickles are awesome and they were as good as always today). With out asking, we were comped our drinks and our pickles. But still something weird went on with our meal, as a table seated at 1:00 got their food about the same time as us. We will return as we love their menu. Hope next time things go better.

The special bloody mary drink you featured was way too spicy and overdone. A simple drink would have been more enjoyable. And the oily taste of the fish and chips, although a very popular dish made it it too fishy tasting. The fish and chips at Jettie Rea's, an excellent fish restaurant on Charlotte St is far superior. My friend's meatloaf portion was smaller than the one she had about three months ago when we ate lunch at Cedrick's. Dining options on The Biltmore Estate are diminishing and this is disappointing, but the grounds around Cedrick's are spectacularly planted.

The food was wonderful, and I loved getting to know about Cedric. Our waitress was so attentive, and when our 3 year old had a brief meltdown after the long drive in, a hostess brought her a mini Cedric stuffed animal to soothe her (for free). We were grateful for such kind service!

We had a very pleasant dining experience. Lovely host and we were seated quickly as we had a reservation. The Bacon/Beer Almonds appetizer is very good and we would highly recommend. I had the shrimp roll and my husband had the wings. Both were very good. Our server was very intuitive and met all of our needs. We also loved looking at all of the photos and the 33” collar that belonged to Cedric, the beloved St. Bernard of the Vanderbilts. A very pleasant experience.

Exceeded expectations. Food and service were excellent.

Great service, recommendations, food, and outdoor dining experience! We highly recommend Cedric’s Tavern.

Went specifically for the grilled cheese which I saw on the internet. I was told it's only a lunch item. Paid $16 for shrimp toast. A piece of bread with some kind of cheese and a bunch of tiny shrimp. Tasted ok but not worth the price. Also had the jack and coke wings which were good despite being very messy and not being given extra napkins.
