Five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had veggie korma and a side of naan. My husband had lentil daal and rice. We both got medium heat. The food was fresh and authentic. The spices were blended perfectly and the establishment was very clean. We will return!❤️❤️❤️
Great service, and the food was delicious! The butter chicken, beef shawarma, chicken curry, and garlic cheese naan were all awesome.
I don't know how this place doesn't have close to 5 stars! We were initially hesitant because of the "express" in the name but my husband and I stopped in one night on a whim and it was AMAZING. My husband is a chef and could see them making our food in the back, and was really impressed! They made the garlic naan from hand and made all of the curries in our dishes right there, from fresh ingredients and spices. It was served in beautiful dishes. The interior has a little bit of a diner feel and they don't serve any alcohol, which is the only reason I can think they have lower reviews. Service was great, food was phenomenal, and this place is a gem in East Asheville.We've ordered takeout from there now two separate times since dining in, and even takeout has been generous portions and phenomenal, tasty food.
Wow what an experience. Just came by after a long drive and planned to eat some Indian/Pakistani food for lunch, so I chose to eat at Biryani Express. The food here was great but the service was even better. The owner is very nice and genuine and the portion sizes were large. I highly recommend.
An old pizza parlor transformed! Excellent Punjabi / Lahori sauces. Best samosa ever in the States. Indian restaurants in the States behave now more and more like Chinese ... modifying their recipes w sugar and cream for American tastes. Not here! Authentic Pakistani Punjabi food. I grew up in Pakistan. I'm still looking for an authentic Sindhi restaurant. We'll return to Biryani Express often.
A great variety of food, including some you won't find at average Indian restaurants. The people there are friendly and their to-go packaging is very secure. This place is a gem!
I had the BBQ Chicken Malai Boti. It was excellent. Wasn't sure what to expect. The chicken was cooked fresh and seasoned heavily with delicious spices. I also enjoyed the sauce that came on the side. Looking forward to trying more of their dishes.
Food was excellent! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was clean and well lit. Little seating; most business is take out as far as I can tell. Spices and sauces were well done for full rich flavors. Definitely coming back. Wish we lived closer.
One of the best places I’ve ever gone to! Naan was buttery soft and freshly made, Nihari was genuinely one of the best Nihari I’ve ever had at a restaurant in the US. Overall really good portion sizes and also!! Fully halal in Asheville! Definitely make a stop by for a wonderful experience.
