This is the first I've heard of a beignet sandwich, but man was it good! My boyfriend and I split the Goat of Monte Cristo, and both loved it! The coffee here was solid, and I really enjoyed the matcha latte, as it had more powder in it than I'm used to getting, which resulted in a really rich flavor and texture. Overall, would definitely recommend this place.

This is a new place for us, and was recommended by a friend. We got one classic beignet to split, then my husband got a drip coffee and a basic sandwich, and I got a chocoholic's dream mocha and a country sandwich. The beignet sandwiches were incredible. I have never had anything like them.We got there right when they opened on a Sunday morning, and by the time we left they were already starting to fill up. There is very little indoor seating but several outdoor tables (it's a very small space). Drinks were made quickly and sandwiches came out fast. They even had a dog treat for the dog at the next table.I cannot wait to go back and try this again, maybe for lunch so I can try a different type of sandwich. Service was fast, staff was friendly, and I really hope this place stays for a long time.

Doesn’t open till 8, though multiple sources online say 7. Small place, best for carry out. Lattes are too sweet. Beignets are good, but the sandwiches should be made with one cut in half, not two.

You can order single beignets if 3 seems like too much

Great coffee and nice location.

After living in this city a few years (downtown area) I come across a lot of rude waitstaff. The staff at Babette’s helped restore my faith in the AVL food/bev/hospitality industry. The lady at the counter was kind, diligent and asked if I want ICE with my water. People never do that, so the fact that she asked is a huge plus because I am afraid to say no ice sometimes. Not to mention the beignet was fire flame ?⛽️⚜️

Well the beignets smelled and tasted like rancid oil, and upset my stomach for hours. I also found the drinks to be significantly too sweet. I'm from New Orleans so I don't know, I guess they're catering to a different demographic. Also, none of them had masks on even though it is mandated in their whole county. If they are going to openly violate local health department laws, I'm going to assume they are violating other hygiene laws as well. I don't see myself ever going back here since there are so many excellent coffee shops in that area, and a much better quality bakery even inside the same building.

Ordered lattes and beignets. The almond latte was terrific but the caramel was better. Due to a fortunate error we got a few extra beignets of different flavors and loved them! Absolutely would recommend.

Great chicory coffee!

What a unique little coffee shop. We tried the French Lavender and the El Coyote (which was delicious but so spicy ?). We were too full for pastries but everything looked and smelled delightful. The staff was so friendly. Highly recommend.
