Last night we celebrated Father’s Day a bit early, and we had BBQ from Bear’s delivered. We got ribs, brisket, smoked turkey, and impossible meatloaf, along with baked beans and coleslaw. Everything was amazing. We had previously had barbecue from Bear’s so we knew what to expect. Our guests, however, were completely blown away by the quality and flavor of the meal. Several people said that the ribs were the best they ever had. And the delivery service was excellent. Delivery was right on time, and everything was the right temperature.If you love BBQ, you’ll love Bear’s.
My partner and I went to Bear’s Smokehouse and loved it. He highly recommends the Burnt Ends and beef brisket. There were gluten free and vegan options (separately) but I don’t know about both combined. Customer service was great and there are photo opportunities with amazing murals. The only downside is limited parking. The space is LGBTQ+ safe.
This was the favorite spot of both my boyfriend and I during our Asheville trip! The best bbq either of us have had, without a doubt. We got the bear balls and the bear attack, and both were excellent. The brisket was absolutely killer, and combined with the cornbread and mac and cheese was next level. I can't recommend this place enough, if we weren't so full after our meal, we would've went back for immediate seconds.
Bears recently catered a Coast Guard event I attended and their food (and service) was wonderful. Perfectly smoked and flavorful meats and excellent sides…the meat that they put in their baked beans is soooo good:) Thanks Bears BBQ!

I travel for work a lot. stopped by Bears for dinner and it really hit the spot. the burnt ends are amazing. Ghost Pepper BBQ sauce is off the charts. I even bought some to take home. Great Eats, Awesome Customer Service, Friendly Atmosphere. ♥️
The staff were incredibly friendly and quick to make recommendations. I'm from out of town and ate here twice because the food was so terrific. Definitely get the brisket and the burnt ends. The Texas sausage was good too.But don't sleep on the baked beans because they're simply amazing. Treat yourself and swing by this spot.
The food was amazing! The meat is so tender. You chose what sauce goes on the meat. The staff was super friendly. Also a dog friendly place. Highly recommended! Best place in asheville we have tried!
My daughter and I could find nowhere to eat in Asheville around 4:00 on Tuesday. Nothing was open...except Bear's on Coxe Ave! We stopped by and we are sooooo glad we did. My daughter loves beef brisket and tries it wherever she can get it. She said, "This is the best brisket sandwich I've EVER eaten!" I had pulled pork with mashed sweet potatoes and broccoli salad. The pork was so lean and tender--lightly smoky without being overwhelming. The cinnamon in the sweet potatoes so fresh and perfect and, I drank the delicious sauce remains of the broccoli salad, I loved it all so much! This is wonderful, WONDERFUL food, y'all. Go getcha some!!
Delicious! And the team working was super friendly both with customers and each other. Seemed like a great place to work and treated us like family. The food was just amazing, we had brisket, ribs, kielbasa and pulled pork, Mac & Cheese, salad, corn bread, apple crisp and Bears Balls. Everything was cooked perfectly.
