Really enjoyed the food. Server behind the counter was energetic and helpful. The food was wonderful. Limited indoor seating. A bit pricey.
First time being here I can say I will be back. I've been to several different combination brewery/eateries and will say its top notch. The kitchen staff was wonderful, sadly didnt catch his name. The beer choices had a good variety for everybody's taste and had some ready to take home.
We are local and this place has AMAZING BBQ! The brisket melts in your mouth. Nachos are delicious, and great location that is not overly crowded. This will definitely be our new go-to BBQ. Prices affordable as well!
Had the two meat special with coleslaw and baked beans. You do have to go up and order, but the staff was very polite and fast. The pulled pork was amazing and the brisket was too! The burnt ends looked great, but they ran out when I got to the front of the line. My son had the pulled pork sandwich and Mac with brisket. All the food was great!
BEST BBQ EVER!!!! I got the ribs, coleslaw, Mac & cheese and they were all sooooo delicious. GET THE MAC & CHEESE!!! Best I’ve ever had! Also love the atmosphere with the cute outdoor lighted patio and connected brewery! Will be back!
This was one of the restaurants that popped up on my way into Asheville. Had a bad experience last night at another location, but this one was great! A little hard to find, as it's hidden behind another business. The meat was moist as delicious, loved having a brewery colocated, had yummy vegan options which was important for my sister, and the staff were EXTREMELY nice and welcoming, leaving me unable to give it any less than 5 stars.
Best bbq ever! Traveled from Raleigh for the weekend, found that home grown pulled pork and mouth watering cornbread ? bear attack gives you the creamy Mac and cheese goodness with sweet cornbread, top it off with your favorite ?. Had to get an extra side of mashed sweet potato because I wasn't going to share with the hubby. The staff is truly amazing, friendly, welcoming spirit. You will see that he loves what he does from how he treats your plate. 10/10
Bear’s Smokehouse South. Located right next to Sweeten Creek Brewing. Excellent food and plenty to fill you up and even take some home. Had the two meat - Texas sausage and Brisket. Two side - Mac & cheese and BBQ beans. Outstanding. Best ever and have been coming to Asheville for many years. Sweeten Creek has many of good beers to wash the BBQ down
The food was absolutely fantastic! Friendly staff! Dog friendly! Great atmosphere! The meat was so tender! The meat does not have sauce on it at all, you choose the sauce after you get your food! Definitely will be back on our future trips!
Beer and BBQ and some of the most tender and juicy beef brisket I have ever had. This place has some wonderful food. I was lucky enough to attend an event for work that offered a buffet of a lot that they had to offer. I was also able to bring home a to go box and even reheated in an oven it was delicious. If you are ever in South Asheville around the Sweeten creek area and you want both great craft beer and BBQ this is the place.
